AIBU - pants at night

So reading the bedding thread there seems to be the suggestion that some people don't wear pants at night. Shock This is seriously a pearl clutching moment for me.

So AIBU to ask - doesn't everybody wear pants at night, whether or not they sleep otherwise naked or wear PJ's? And wouldn't your sheets or PJ's need more frequent washing if you don't wear pants at night?

Thanks for that vulcan you mean as well as covering my ears and mouth on a night I have to plug my nethers up too?

allegretto · 10/03/2016 20:43

All you naked sleepers obviously have your heating turned up way too high and are solely responsible for global warming Even on the rare occasions I sleep naked I still like to keep the bed socks on. Grin

StarlingMurmuration · 10/03/2016 20:43

TMI

I have very neat and tidy Barbie/clamshell bits so any discharge I have doesn't escape til I go to the toilet.

StarlingMurmuration · 10/03/2016 20:45

And our heating goes off at 8pm - I like to be naked under a snuggly duvet. Nice wool blanket over the top if it's really cold, plus DP to cuddle up to means I'm never cold in bed.

kissmybumandsaychumchum · 10/03/2016 20:45

I think it's MN law that you have to do anal at centre parcs Change of plan, next trip to CP I will be sleeping in a full bodystocking to minimise the contact with mattress, which must be veritably teeming with Mnetters post anal poo crumbs, at least the ones that escaped before they managed to get their pants back on/get into their post sex pants. Grin

LBOCS2 · 10/03/2016 20:48

I'm a nude sleeper and our heating is at 15, always

Your parts need airing people!

tealoveryum · 10/03/2016 20:48

Shock I am never going to Center Parcs then, all the lube in the world couldn't convince me.

VulcanWoman · 10/03/2016 20:49

That's the reason I make such a mess then, my bits are not clamshell like.

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:49

For the knickerless - if your leakage is minimal or your clams are clammed-up (?!) and if you have pubes - don't they come out in the bedding? Pubey bedding?

Yseulte · 10/03/2016 20:51

If your parts need airing can't you just use a hairdryer?

StarlingMurmuration · 10/03/2016 20:52

I didn't mean to sound critical of any other type of bits - just that my outer labia cover my inner labia so it's just a little mound, which means moisture doesn't seep out easily when I'm horizontal. In my experience. I know some women have inner labia that protrude and I imagine discharge may escape more easily in that case.

bbpp · 10/03/2016 20:53

Either that quietlife or there's someone else out there who gets it!

Our house is heated well but I'm always colder than everyone else, in order to be properly warm with a duvet you've got to cocoon yourself up quite well, despite my duvet being thick, which limits my star-fishing abilities. I sleep on top of the duvet sometimes.

Sallystyle · 10/03/2016 20:53

No pubes in my bed lost most of them ages ago

MrsKoala · 10/03/2016 20:56

i'd recommend wine over lube any day! (not really of course)

We just pack our portable laminator and put our genitals thru that before sleeping on the MN anal mattresses.

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:57

Maybe there's something in that Starling. The top of one of my inner labia ripped off by my clit during childbirth..

No knickers except days 1 and 2 of period (otherwise a bloodbath). Feels horribly sweaty and constricting and would ruin the effect of my lovely evening bath. No clammy fanny thanks.

kissmybumandsaychumchum · 10/03/2016 21:00

portable laminator -genuis idea MrsK !

Dontneedausername · 10/03/2016 21:01

Naked sleeper here, I feel far too restricted in PJ's or pants although if my period if heavy I'll pop something on my bottom half.
Plus my heating is 16c at night, but we have a thick cosy eiderdown and an electric blanket for the winter.

I don't understand why people are so concerned about sleeping in their own "mess". I mean I don't think I have a lot of discharge or anything. It's hardly radioactive or deadly.

Sagethyme · 10/03/2016 21:02

does anyone else check hotel sheets? I always seem to get someone elses short and curlies and now i know why...a mnetter has been there before me!! I'm sure pubes get stuck on sheets even after going through the wash, or maybe the sheets just haven't been changed

Sparklingbrook · 10/03/2016 21:04

Yy always inspect hotel sheets. Don't want to be sleeping in a bed that may have just been 'pulled and plucked'

Quietlifenotonyournelly · 10/03/2016 21:05

Portable laminator Grin

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 21:07

Heating on at night?! [faints]

Yes - always find a pubey pube or more likely a chest hair that looks suspiciously pubey.

Head to foot clothing in bed with heating off at night, is the way to go for us. Definitely. With cosy hottie bottie and socks on too.

blindsider · 10/03/2016 21:10

Theduchess

That made me laugh out loud

Quietlifenotonyournelly · 10/03/2016 21:11

I have visions of squeamish mumsnetters going out and buying haz mat suits to sleep in after this thread.
