Must you attend every Sunday dinner? If your partner wishes to see his mum can't you send him off with a nice " cheery bye!" Then get on to napping going to the gym, reading, doing whatever you want?

Katenka · 21/02/2016 14:46

That's great if it suits you.

I couldn't visit anyone every single week without fail.

LemonRedwood · 21/02/2016 14:46

Lots of people get along with their mothers-in-law. Those stories don't really make for interesting threads though.

HighwayDragon1 · 21/02/2016 14:46

Oh my gosh hunni you're totally right that's amaze you get on so well xxxxxkissesxxxxx

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 14:51

I think you should reclaim Sundays as your own, every Sunday seems a bit much.

YouTheCat · 21/02/2016 14:54

Depends if you enjoy going or not really. If you do, I'd just keep on having lovely Sunday dinners cooked by your mil. Smile

Sparkletastic · 21/02/2016 14:55

I can't really understand you. But...fine.

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 14:56

Only fair to invite the MIL round to yours every now and again.

My MIL died many years ago, but always came to us. She always salted her dinner before tasting it which wound DH up no end.

CaptainCrunch · 21/02/2016 14:58

What is your aibu? Oh wait, it's just a load of boring nonsense. As you were.

manicattack · 21/02/2016 14:59

I've read this post 4 times and I'm still none the wiser, so I'll just say "Yes"...

SecretWitch · 21/02/2016 14:59

Sorry, I misread. Sounds like you enjoy seeing your MIL every Sinday! It's great way to be together as a family. My MIL is lovely too..though don't know if every Sunday would work for us.

SecretWitch · 21/02/2016 15:00

I guess AIBU to call it Sinday Hmm

OhShutUpThomas · 21/02/2016 15:00

Id love a nicest day dinner now with some jazz band gossip.

OhShutUpThomas · 21/02/2016 15:01

*nice Sunday

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 15:04

I wouldn't really want a conversation over Sunday dinner about who was sleeping with who TBF, or jazz. Just not my thing.

HeyYouGetOffMyCloud · 21/02/2016 15:05

Troo dat hun

SalemSaberhagen · 21/02/2016 15:05

MIL? Haven't you 'just got back' with your boyfriend?

Why haven't MNHQ zapped these already?

ilovesooty · 21/02/2016 15:06

The OP has a girlfriend.

SalemSaberhagen · 21/02/2016 15:07
