When I first started posting on MN my writing style was crap, obviously it's still far from perfect but I think I even used some txt speak back then. Blush

I'm sure I confused the crap out of people.

Most people don't give a shite and the rest just love to moan.

Don't worry about it.

twistedlove · 21/02/2016 20:35

Canny can mean a few things, it depends on what context you use it in.

shes canny.
thats canny good.
i went to the park, it was canny.

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 20:35

It does say in the Hints and Tips to avoid text speak.

NewLife4Me · 21/02/2016 20:36

manic

You sound like a real canny lass, you are doing fine with your writing.
I am dyslexic so know how you feel. It can be tough at times but slowly slowly you'll get there love Thanks

MistressMerryWeather · 21/02/2016 20:38

I didn't read the talk instructions, I just got stuck in. :o

I doubt many new people do read them TBH.

louisejxxx · 21/02/2016 20:39

I'm with you about Geordies OP - my grandparents are from newcastle so I venture up there a few times a year...my kids love it too. I wish I was daring enough to just take the plunge and move up there.

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 20:40

I think that's the problem. If people had a look at the tips before they started they would get a feel for things. Bit pointless having them if nobody reads them.

MistressMerryWeather · 21/02/2016 20:42

Did you read them before posting Sparkling? Shock

I bet you did ya big swot.

twistedlove · 21/02/2016 20:43

It actually makes me laugh when people comment on manics spelling/grammar because shes actually a very intelligent person in RL and also an awsome carperter Wink

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 20:43

Probably, it was 4 years ago though now. Confused

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 20:44

A carpenter? Now I remember a thread involving shelves from last week....

manicattack · 21/02/2016 20:44

Thanxs mistress and newlife and maybe ...it ll make it easier for people that read theese posts that dont post because there scared of the back lash. they might get the courage to just do it .

OP posts:
twistedlove · 21/02/2016 20:51

Yeah that was her Grin

Sonetimes i think people think we make the threads up but honestly everything we've posted about has actually happend, we have very dramatic friends and family and sometimes its like a soap opera plus manics a gossip queen

manicattack · 21/02/2016 20:52

Louisej its a totally differnt way of life were i am i can walk to the nature reserve with a farm and an amazing wetland center and then if i get on the bus . one waytake me to the beaches and the other take me to the toon yes the toon its not spelt wrong ... The educational facilities are amazing i have one child who is extremly clever year eight and he achieves 7a except for music and art ,but hes still challenged ...my other son has dyslexia and the suport he recieves is brilliant. I really wont live anywhere else with a growing family

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 20:53

Sometimes it's good to just post on other people's threads you don't have to feel you have to start a thread about everything that happens in your life tempting as it may be.

twistedlove · 21/02/2016 20:57

Im not really one for posting threads TBH id rather read then post on something that i can relate too, ive only started 2/3 threads since ive been on here.

Waltermittythesequel · 21/02/2016 20:58

Generally, people don't start threads about every little thing that happens in their lives.

It's almost like you're posting status updates.

It's just a bit odd, I suppose.

I don't really get why you both keep doing it. It doesn't bother me. I just don't get it!

manicattack · 21/02/2016 21:01

If i posted everything about my life on here id proberley end up with a true movie deal lol

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 21:03

There's always blogging.

YouTheCat · 21/02/2016 21:04

The big question is though... Toon or Mackems for football?

This is really important. Grin

manicattack · 21/02/2016 21:04

You don't need to get it ... I don't get people that wear odd socks ...its one of them mysteries

OP posts:
manicattack · 21/02/2016 21:06

OP posts:
twistedlove · 21/02/2016 21:07
