My Mum does the Sunday dinner, every sunday. So Dh could say it's MIL day. She takes over my kitchen and cooks as her place is too small. Best roast with yorkshire puds and roasties today, followed by plum crumble and cream.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 21/02/2016 16:15

Amazeballs Hmm

IHaveBrilloHair · 21/02/2016 16:18

That's lovely op, I'd love to have family I was close to, dd and I are happy as we are, but the house can feel a bit empty sometimes, and though I love to cook, the thought of someone cooking me a roast dinner is wonderful.
I hope you keep enjoying your Sundays and just ignore the grumpingtons on here.

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/02/2016 16:20

That's nice op.

SauvignonBlanche · 21/02/2016 16:20

manicattack · 21/02/2016 16:30

No geordies like the harder stuff .we all feel asleep ar christmas after the ouzzo.....and im the one that says babygal thats only because her pet name is not really appropriate for on here Wink

twistedlove · 21/02/2016 16:31

I also never told her i loved her on here so make sure your facts are right before you comment.

twistedlove · 21/02/2016 16:32

*Use

MargotLovedTom · 21/02/2016 16:35

I have no idea what the undercurrents are here , but as you asked my MIL makes a very nice Sunday dinner but the broccoli is always too soggy for my liking. Fabulous mashed swede though.

Sallystyle · 21/02/2016 16:35

Oh sorry, it's your GF who called you baby girl in another thread and baby gal in another.

But never mind, I was just being an arse and I apologise, sincerely.

Sallystyle · 21/02/2016 16:37

I am waiting for my roast to cook.

I rarely cook them, especially on a Sunday. My kids are upset because I'm doing it and not dh Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 16:38

I have just put a chicken in. What usually happens is that by the time I have done all the faffing with veg and gravy etc I am so sick of looking at it I won't want any.

Imchangingmyname · 21/02/2016 16:42

All you can eats are fabulous. There's one down the road from my MIL where she took us once but then it got done for hygiene. Put me off a bit. Shortly after that MIL tried to see me off with some counterfeit Ghd's which blew up.

Shame all MIL's aren't as great as yours, OP.

MrsBobDylan · 21/02/2016 16:45

This is not aibu material but since you've started my mil is the tops.

She cremates roast beef though. Defo a better mil than cook. I do lubs her.

twistedlove · 21/02/2016 16:45

Dont worry about it u2 ive told her not to talk to me ever again on here or use embarrassing nn Grin

MargotLovedTom · 21/02/2016 16:47

I like doing a cheat's roast involving frozen mash, frozen YPs, ready prepared broccoli etc. Much less faffy and I still have an appetite when I come to eat it.

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 16:48

I have to say I did wonder what the OP's AIBU question was. Grin

twistedlove · 21/02/2016 16:52

I think she was trying to ask if she WBU liking her MIL so much Grin

twirlypoo · 21/02/2016 16:53

I ordered in roast dinner from just eat and had it in bed. It was heaven!

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 16:54

Oh. It's more of a thread for Chat really. Everything seems to be posted in AIBU these days for some reason.
