My mother in law made the best Sunday dinners ever. I loved her and I miss her a lot.

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 15:15

Aww sooty, it's hard isn't it? MIL had her annoying ways but I really wish she was still with us annoying us as she used to.

YouTheCat · 21/02/2016 15:15

Why would MNHQ need to zap this? Confused

I know it's not exactly an AIBU situation but there's no need for the thread police and the grammar and spelling police .

Have a happy Sunday, Manicattack.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 21/02/2016 15:15

You are being very unreasonable to get on so well with your MIL, it makes a dull thread with no drama or dynamics. Enjoy your dinner.

hiddenhome2 · 21/02/2016 15:17

Totes amazeballs

Savagebeauty · 21/02/2016 15:17

Are you Northern?

manicattack · 21/02/2016 15:18

Look not everyone jumps ship or gets under someone else because they ve argued, my motherin law and two sister in laws dont get involved they understand my dp well enought to no she can be hard work ,but she more than worth it ...

I actually want to know more about the jazz bands... Blush

OnlyLovers · 21/02/2016 15:20

I do too, Puppy. OP, do get your MIL on here. Sounds like she's got some great gossip. Grin

SalemSaberhagen · 21/02/2016 15:20

you AS is your friend.

NewLife4Me · 21/02/2016 15:23

Wow, you can't even post something nice now without the nasty sarcy comments.

OP, your mil sounds great and it's lovely to hear nice things about mil.
I get on with mine too, but couldn't do every Sunday, but that's because we don't have normal weekends like some other people do.
We talk about Jazz bands with her too, but usually because dh plays and manages lots of them Grin
Wishing you many lovely Sundays with your mil Thanks

manicattack · 21/02/2016 15:28

I m trying to get her to sign up now, and im up north, but im from the home of the british army . im sorry it not an exciting post, but im back at college monday . and im sure there be drama .

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 15:31

The only thing about getting your MIL to sign up to MN is that she will be able to read everything you and your fiancee post.

YouTheCat · 21/02/2016 15:32

Salem, all AS shows me is a list of rather inoffensive posts by the OP.

There's some really unpleasant shite on this thread though but not from manicattack.

WorraLiberty · 21/02/2016 15:32

I love my MIL

I love my ex MIL

I love Sundays, but mostly because my DH makes the best roast dinners ever. Unlike either MILs, who really aren't great cooks, bless 'em Grin

NewLife4Me · 21/02/2016 15:32

manic

I'll talk to your mil about Jazz bands both past and present, and yourself of course if you are interested.
I'm north too, maybe we are just friendlier up here, or maybe it doesn't matter where you are from Grin

AnyFucker · 21/02/2016 15:34

Been on the sherry already ?

manicattack · 21/02/2016 15:35

My DS and DDIL have Sunday roast dinner with DDIL's mum every week. DS loves it, - they both work long hours, make quick meals in the evening and can't really be bothered with cooking at the weekend so it's real treat. And DS's MIL is lovely.

It's nice to have posts about people getting on with their in-laws -makes those of us who are MIL's feel less unloveable ! Grin

Good for you OP - enjoy your dinner.

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2016 15:40

Is it 2 weeks until Mothers Day? There will be much moaning about Mothers/MIls etc. Always a joy on here that day. Hmm
