I'm not. I know I'm not. I'm personally going to have a glass of wine and celebrate there being a significant amount of egg on the Tories' faces.

dawndonna, I hope you dont feel you should move just because some ignorant muppet on here had a go at you for having a view? As far as she's concerned the only view I'd give her is my boot going up her arse. If you and your family are happy living where you are, bloody good on you. Anyway, it costs a fortune to move these days.

MissHooliesCardigan · 31/10/2015 14:29

Dawndonna lovely to see you back. Please don't take to heart what the occasional cunt idiot on here says. You and your family are amazing Flowers

TalkinPease · 31/10/2015 14:35

Dawndonna
Speaking as a hard nosed accountant, it would be BAD for the taxpayer and BAD for you to move
so stay put and enjoy the improved mental health that your lovely views give you
especially on a wonderful sunny day like today

HelenaDove · 31/10/2015 14:38

Glad to see you back on here Dawn Thanks

longtimelurker101 · 31/10/2015 14:40

Please don't take the opinion of anyone who considered cursing a child with the name Madrigal seriously. Her opinions are based on nowt but jealousy and Daily Mail op ed pieces.

You stay where you are, you sound fab!

DraculasDixieNormas · 31/10/2015 14:41

God no don't move! if you are happy and the house is suitable stay put!

Dawndonnaagain · 31/10/2015 14:42

Enough now, you're making me cry. One or two mumsnetters have met me, and I'm not in the least fluffy. I'm an old bag! So there. Blush

DraculasDixieNormas · 31/10/2015 14:47

you do what's best for your family, and pay no attention to what some spiteful random says.

flippinada · 31/10/2015 15:19

Good to see you back Dawndonna Smile

DoctorTwo · 31/10/2015 16:37

Dawndonna, imagine if you and every other carer in the UK said 'fuck it, no more', councils across the country would go bust. I have nothing but admiration for you and all those who provide care for little reward. PS, your daughter is amazing too.

howabout · 31/10/2015 16:45

Hey Dawndonna lovely to see you back Flowers I am a carer too and you are much better at articulating the issues than me. Us old bags need to stay solid.

TalkinPease · 31/10/2015 17:15

As I often say to people complaining about the world

There is no THEY, there is only US

Either we do things or we pay people to do things

there is no magic they to do either

I think Dickens, writing 'Christmas Carol' is more relevant than ever. Anyone recognise the tory mindset?

"First Collector: At this festive time of year, Mr. Scrooge, it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the poor and destitute.

Ebenezer: Are there no prisons?

First Collector: Plenty of prisons.

Ebenezer: And the union workhouses - are they still in operation?

First Collector: They are. I wish I could say they were not.

Ebenezer: Oh, from what you said at first I was afraid that something had happened to stop them in their useful course. I'm very glad to hear it.

First Collector: I don't think you quite understand us, sir. A few of us are endeavoring to buy the poor some meat and drink, and means of warmth.

Ebenezer: Why?

First Collector: Because it is at Christmastime that want is most keenly felt, and abundance rejoices. Now what can I put you down for?

Ebenezer: Huh! Nothing!

Second Collector: You wish to be anonymous?

Ebenezer: [firmly, but calmly] I wish to be left alone. Since you ask me what I wish sir, that is my answer. I help to support the establishments I have named; those who are badly off must go there.

First Collector: Many can't go there.

Second Collector: And some would rather die. "

When you read about people like Philip Davis you start to wonder whether democracy is all it's cracked up to be. Presumably there are people taking responsibility for voting him into parliament?

MyCircusMyMonkeys · 31/10/2015 22:38

"Then they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."

Good point well made Joffrey

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 31/10/2015 22:47

Sadly I fear that Cameron and Osborne are beyond the help of the ghosts of Christmas past, present and yet to come. At least Ebenezer Scrooge comes good in the end.
