To think defending your cat when it's crapping on my lawn is pathetic!!

Not me but DP right now was washing up and saw the same massive fat cat start to take a dump in our front garden, bearing in mind this one cat always leaves massive dog size droppings where the kids play and a constant aroma of the stuff!

So he banged on the window but it didn't move so he opened the window and hissed at it, cue my neighbour comuing up and shouting at him that he threw something at it and she'd throw something back, he said what did i throw? she said she didn't know but kept having a go.

Are we supposed to watch the thing do that on our lawn?! we have our own cat and if i saw it doing that on someones front garden i'd shoo her away myself!

Pick up the crap and put in on their front doorstep to deal with.
get a water pistol and squirt it?
There is stuff that you can buy as a cat deterant ant, don't know howe effective it is though.

Years ago next door's cat would shit in my garden. I was heavily pg and worried about toxplasmosis. The cat was so infested with worms that the shit literally moved across the grass.

LegoComplex · 27/06/2015 19:39

Dp just popped out the front and the neighbour made a comment that the cat was traumatised?!

YADNBU!! :0

footflapper · 27/06/2015 19:41

Is your neighbor normally a twat?

LegoComplex · 27/06/2015 19:43

yeah pretty much! Grin waiting for the glares again now, i'm sure it will be the new hot topic of conversation between them and ndn..

dp's now wondering what consequence throwing cat poo at someone would warrant!

footflapper · 27/06/2015 19:47

Wonder how the neighbor would react to you spraying water at her little precious? Grin

llammallamamissesmama · 27/06/2015 19:47

Yadnbu. It's absolutely disgusting and we have a feline friend who leaves us poo on our lawn too. Massive snakey poos. And I have a toddler. We don't have pets because we decided we didn't want to pick up crap. Now we're picking up someone else's cat poo. It's horrendously gross.

LegoComplex · 27/06/2015 19:49

just can't believe the brass neck at defending your cat when it's doing that! I mean really? was he supposed to smile lovingly at it? or help it dig a little spot? I doubt the mangy thing's traumatised because it had to delay it's poo slightly!

YANBU. I am a cat lover but I would fully support any neighbour of mine in stopping my cat from having a shit on their lawn! In fact, if it was a real problem I'd buy a water pistol for them.

LegoComplex · 27/06/2015 19:51

seriously it wasn't even that bothered about dp banging the window at it, just stared at him, but when he was outside the ndn's ds tried to stroke it and it ran away, cue the "trauma" comment. Should i send it a cat apology gift haha

Yanbu, I absolutely hate cats Confused. Your neighbour has a cheek!

BoneyBackJefferson · 27/06/2015 19:52

Wait till the cat owners show up on the thread.

yoshipoppet · 27/06/2015 19:52

If that was my cat doing it I'd be out there chasing it off your grass myself. Then I'd come back and clean up the poo.

redbinneo · 27/06/2015 19:54

Perhaps the cat is trying to tell you something about your garden.

NRomanoff · 27/06/2015 19:57

I hate this. Cats always come and crap on our lawn. I have to go out and check for it before the kids can go out. We have a water pistol and spread a load of cinnamon around the boundary. They have stopped coming in

BoffinMum · 27/06/2015 19:58

How would they feel if you defecated in their garden in return?!

BullshitS70 · 27/06/2015 19:59

outrageous

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 27/06/2015 19:59

We have this problem too - the neighbours cats all seem to be 'outside' cats, and come and crap in our garden.

It fucks me off no end, and we have given the children permission to hiss, shout, throw things - whatever it takes to get the fuckers out of our garden and stop crapping right next to the climbing frame.

Either train your cat to poo in a litter tray, or don't have one. It should be a fineable offence Angry

redbinneo · 27/06/2015 20:00

Boffin
Why would you crap in cats garden?

MidniteScribbler · 27/06/2015 20:03

My dog can't have a poo in the neighbour's front yard, so why is it acceptable for someone's cat to do so?

Where I live, we do have laws here about when your cat is allowed out to roam and I'm within my rights to catch any cat creating a nuisance on my property and have the council deal with it. I have no sympathy for cat owners who let their cat roam and not confine them to their own property. If you want to own a pet, then you are responsible for it. Your neighbours shouldn't have to take on any of the work that you are to lazy to do when you own a pet.

Fizrim · 27/06/2015 20:06

YADNBU, I am sick of cat poo on our front lawn and shout at cats now. I will be getting a water pistol myself if it gets any worse.

PtolemysNeedle · 27/06/2015 20:06

Your neighbour is weird and rude. You need a cat squirter.

ThisIsClemFandango · 27/06/2015 20:12

Act as though you really want the cat to crap in your garden, and it'll look at you like you're really weird and probably stop doing it. They always seem to do the exact opposite of what is wanted of them!
