It's written by a fellow teacher and is nappy at school related, so those that find these things a touchy subject might not want to check it out.

Why is it increasing, when will it stop? These subjects really need to be talked about instead of swept under the rug.

OP posts:
fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 30/06/2015 08:52

I'm also not sure why it is standing, since the OP has definitely left MN Wink

Jasonandyawegunorts · 30/06/2015 08:54

Well they haven't posted for a while that's for sure.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 30/06/2015 09:00

Yes .it's like they have been banned for goading Wink

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 30/06/2015 09:13

Banned for goading and yet the threads stands.... Hmm

The next time someone posts something racist or homophobic, I'm going to demand that MN leave it stand in the hopes that other posters will pull the OP into line and educate them. Wanna bet they still pull it?

Jasonandyawegunorts · 30/06/2015 09:47

oh, i tohught we would get told when / if they ban a poster.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 30/06/2015 10:44

Usually do but sometimes they just tell those who reported

Jasonandyawegunorts · 30/06/2015 11:13

Ah, i see.
Strange that they've left it up when they clearly feel the poster did wrong.

Marioswife · 30/06/2015 13:01

It's probably left up to "educate" but it will let future trolls have something to bump up.

Jaderuby · 01/07/2015 20:03

I can't see it educating anyone, It's vile.

BustyRino · 30/09/2015 11:03

Not read through the thread (Sorry) but if true it's pretty shocking.

Caprinihahahaha · 30/09/2015 11:10

You fucking bumped a thread from several months ago but couldn't be arsed to read it?

Twat.

Gruntfuttock · 30/09/2015 11:39

BustyRino I don't understand how you would find this old thread and decide to post on it, but not actually read it. That makes no sense at all to me.

Piratejones · 30/09/2015 15:36

Yes I'm always Hmm when someone decides to actively track down a 3 month old thread just to post that they didn't read it.

x2boys · 30/09/2015 15:54

havent read the full thread but what bullshit my oldest sons mainstream primary school had my youngest son in nursery with nappies he has ASD and learning difficulties now goes to a special school still in nappies we are just starting toilet training with support hes five and a half there was a child in nappies at my oldest sons school in reception last year [my friends son] he has global development delay he was the only child ever apparently to start that school in reception in nappies he is now toilet trained just.

x2boys · 30/09/2015 15:55

zombie thread arghhBlush

Piratejones · 30/09/2015 16:06

zombie thread
Don't feel too bad, at least you added to the topic.

BustyRino · 01/10/2015 08:19

You fucking bumped a thread from several months ago but couldn't be arsed to read it? Twat.

Very unneeded, i have since read it. We can't all spend 24 fucking hours a day on mumsnet.

InimitableJeeves · 01/10/2015 08:24

But you must have wasted time digging up this thread, BustyRino, so why not at least skim-read it if you feel the need to post on it?

BustyRino · 01/10/2015 08:27

I was place marking for when i had time.

I have crossed no laws here, neither those set in place by mumsnet or those set by our lord Jesus christ.

ladyvimes · 01/10/2015 08:44

Total Daily Fail twaddle! Considering there are approx 600,000 5 year olds in schools in the UK this would work out at approx 1 in 375 5 year olds still in nappies, or 0.08 children per class of 30 (which sounds pretty small and fairly reasonable to me).
Pretty sure that this teacher has not had 11 children in nappies in 2 years. Statistically very unlikely.

The Daily Fail not being entirely honest - what a surprise!

Shame on you OP for falling for it!

Caprinihahahaha · 01/10/2015 15:38

If it's so important to you that you read it just put it on your watched list.

Of course you are staggeringly busy being a brain surgeon or some such but if you can't see that resurrecting an old thread which, in itself, is an obvious snidey Daily Mail thickfest attack at children with SN is likely to piss people off then tbh that's tough.
I'm not Jesus Christ. I can just call twat when I see it.

Twat.

HackerFucker22 · 01/10/2015 15:53

My DS is due to start nursery in a few weeks, he'll be just days over 3 and isn't even close to be toilet trained... Nursery has a dry policy and although I've already broached this with the nursery (that he isn't responding to training despite me trying for months now) they have made it clear he needs to be close to dry.

I am at my wits end and am super stressed about it trying so hard not to let DS feel my stress but I'd hate for anyone to think I haven't bothered trying to train him.

Obviously this is different as it's nursery and my child is 3 BUT I feel for anyone with an older child with genuine continence issues. Yes ideally kids would be long trained and yes the onus should be on the parents but sometimes kids just don't play ball.... I fear I am going to have a 6 year old in nappies at this rate!! DS is NT by the way, he is just a stubborn little boy (or actually he is a little boy who just isn't ready to toilet train right now )

Caprinihahahaha · 01/10/2015 16:18

Don't stress about it Hacker. In the real world, outside the Daily Mail, people completely understand that children take varying lengths of time to be fully dry.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 01/10/2015 16:41

Hacker

Don't panic the nursery will have to take your child regardless. it is against the equalities act if they do not.

Piratejones · 05/10/2015 12:21

HackerFucker22

If the time comes and he's still not reliable they will still take him, What they are doing at the moment is making hollow threats because, as you can imagine they don't like it.
