It's all just sinking in, and the other political threads are too eloquent for what I want to express this morning.

Oh tits. This is rubbish.

Umm.. YANBU

Andrewofgg · 08/05/2015 11:32

FineDamBeaver Are we to take it that the membership of the new House of Commons does not meet with your entire approbation? Grin

badtime · 08/05/2015 11:34

Yeah, on my facebook, everybody was writing essays about how dreadful it all is. The only status that really expressed my views accurately was 'Shit.'

vindscreenviper · 08/05/2015 11:34

Well if this is the Political Profanity Thread I'll just leave this here for you op Grin

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
AWholeLottaNosy · 08/05/2015 11:37

I'm actually crying now. Nick Clegg is giving his resignation speech and its just set me off and I'm not even a Lib dem!

Bodyinpyjamas10 · 08/05/2015 11:37

Nope it's a democratic election and that's the result.

Half the world would bite your hand off to put a cross on a ballot paper.

Now start a mil thread. Smile

DuchessofNorks · 08/05/2015 11:38

I still have zero understanding of why this happened.

Zero. 5 more years. Woo fucking hoo.

WhatAboutThePlant · 08/05/2015 11:38

Completely agree! My fb has been a mix of shit shit fuck fuck and people very happy with the result. This marks a change to the UK as we know it. A major increase in food banks, more welfare cuts, no NHS... the list is endless.

FineDamBeaver · 08/05/2015 11:38

This guy gets it.

YANBU.
I feel very down today. Even a Tory led coalition would have been better than a stand alone Conservative party (except a coalition with UKIP). I am trying to make myself feel a little better by the news that Farage failed to win his seat and UKIP only got one seat (still one too many). It is very unjust that SNP have such a tiny percentage of the vote share and yet have 56 seats, I had never realised the figure was that skewed, although obviously I know we don't have proportional representation.

Newbrummie · 08/05/2015 11:39

Democratic my arse

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 08/05/2015 11:40

Your summary of the night's events is an accurate description of my feelings on the matter.

TwinkieTwinkle · 08/05/2015 11:40

I am fucked off. Been wanting to say that all morning but it didn't seem to add much to any other thread. Fuckity fuck fucked off. At least that tit Farage will have to resign now, he did promise after all! I can have a wine tonight to celebrate that at least.

Plarail123 · 08/05/2015 11:41

So true Body, young people where I live are prepared to risk injury, detention and death for the right to vote. YABU.

WhatAboutThePlant · 08/05/2015 11:41

Even a Tory led coalition would have been better than a stand alone Conservative party

Exactly this! The UK will be a very different country by 2020!

JuneFromBethesda · 08/05/2015 11:42

YANBU. Here we go again. At least now I can go back to wholeheartedly loathing the Tories, I always felt I had to temper it slightly while there was a coalition government.

I cannot bear to see Cameron's fucking smug face Angry

TwinkieTwinkle · 08/05/2015 11:43

Why is OP being unreasonable to be pissed at the results of a highly divisive election? Shall we all pretend it's sunshine and rainbows and not give a shit? Hmm

Sallyingforth · 08/05/2015 11:43

Democratic my arse

Would you have said the same if your party had won?

Feminine · 08/05/2015 11:43

Yes. Fuck.
This is the first time, l've actually been worried after an election result.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 08/05/2015 11:44

YANBU

Bodyinpyjamas10 · 08/05/2015 11:44

newbrummie it's the system we have.

PP would be better but it's not what we have, yet.

Are you suggesting the count was rigged?

Look stop the drama. Personally seem it all before and far far more with Maggie thatcher. Labour was wiped out then and came back under Tony.

5 years from now it will be all change again. Cheer up!

OneDayAtATime0 · 08/05/2015 11:44

the independant has a helpful article today on "how to leave the uk" ..we're all screwed!

badtime · 08/05/2015 11:45

Actually, Super, my worst fear was a Tory coalition with the DUP, and I am taking some comfort from the fact that this isn't happening.

I am from NI (although I don't live there at the moment) and the idea of NI parties having any real national influence is truly horrifying.

hedgehogsdontbite · 08/05/2015 11:45

It's just wrong and isn't democratic. 63.2% of voters did not want a Tory government. It's total bollocks.

Newbrummie · 08/05/2015 11:45

I voted because I felt I had to.
None of them are "my" party, all so out of touch, but worse than that utterly spineless liars.
