It's all just sinking in, and the other political threads are too eloquent for what I want to express this morning.

Oh tits. This is rubbish.

OP posts:
Babyroobs · 08/05/2015 11:57

Does anyone else think voters may have panicked at the possibility of an SNP/ Labour coalition? I'm not sure hw this has happened, I never thought the conservatives would win a clear majority.

AnonymousBird · 08/05/2015 11:57

Everyone interviewed on TV and radio is saying "we need to reflect on where we went wrong". The Ed and Ed show was the nail in the coffin. I am not at all political myself but die hard Labour supporters I know have been saying the writing was always on the wall with those two at the helm. It's a wasted opportunity.

Hotbot · 08/05/2015 11:57

Fuck indeed,
But I have no faith in any of them keeping their promises , who ever got in would not have changed the future of the nhs it is sadly fucked
Felt very sad for nick

Patapouf · 08/05/2015 11:58

I would flounce out of the UK, but with our EU membership now up for referendum I probably wouldn't be allowed to reside where I'd like to.

Fuck everything, I'm going to be in an almighty strop about this all day for the next five years

chockbic · 08/05/2015 11:58

It's about the culture of this country. Really does make you question whether you want to be a part of it.

JuneFromBethesda · 08/05/2015 11:59

No, shinytortoise, I'd call it 'people who give a shit about the less fortunate in this country and don't want to see the poor and disabled even further disadvantaged for the sake of those who only care about themselves'

MrsNextDoor · 08/05/2015 11:59

I can only advise those in vulnerable positions and who aren't disabled to begin working for themselves. Seriously...whatever skills you have...and everyone's got something to offer...if you're unemployed, begin working out a way to get an income off your own back...whether it is a combination of babysitting and dog walking, cleaning and ironing, copywriting....whatever you can do do it.

Do not trust this government with your child tax credits or other benefits.

slicedfinger · 08/05/2015 11:59

We are all doomed. Sad

Hotbot · 08/05/2015 12:00

I do think also that they won in the fear of an snp lab coalition . I put snp first as Nicola would have. Had ed for breckie

PutWittyUsernameHere · 08/05/2015 12:02

The NHS will not survive another five years of Tories, and when it's gone it'll be incredibly hard to reinstate. Other policies can be reversed/reinstated, but once something's privatised I reckon that's pretty much it. I know a lot of people who work for the NHS, and have seen first-hand what Cameron's been doing to it, and they are all extremely worried.

Sad
MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 08/05/2015 12:02

If we leave the EU, I'm fucked. Not only are they fucking us over, they want to trap us here too?

Downtheroadfirstonleft · 08/05/2015 12:02

I think it's a great result.

ThisFenceIsComfy · 08/05/2015 12:02

I've cried real tears this morning. The public has voted and they voted right wing.

I feel like I don't fit in here anymore. I used to feel so British but now I feel like I can't be. My identity has been stripped away a bit.

stinkyfluffycat · 08/05/2015 12:03

Sorry, badtime. Gove is indeed also truly revolting. It's just that if I think about more than two Tories at the same time my head will explode, and there may not be any NHS left to put it back together again.

Latara · 08/05/2015 12:05

I would actually say that Rupert Murdoch won the election.

homeappliance · 08/05/2015 12:06

By 2020 we'll all know that the Tories killed the NHS, they won't have any other party to blame it on...

AccordingtoMe · 08/05/2015 12:06

We are going to be fracked to buggery now

Newbrummie · 08/05/2015 12:06

I think what upsets me so much is that I know good honest caring people who basically don't know what they've done, they seem to think the conservatives are for them and yet they will get fucked over just the same.

FaFoutis · 08/05/2015 12:07

YANBU
I feel fucking awful.

Bodyinpyjamas10 · 08/05/2015 12:07

Ah so democracy is only when your choosen party wins.

chockbic · 08/05/2015 12:07

And that stupid bloody railway, which is going to cost billions.

Superexcited · 08/05/2015 12:09

Could this thread be re named "losers who can't see further than the end of their noses, never mind the next 5 years" ? Labour campaign was a joke and was seen as such by the intelligent floating voter. That why they lost by so much.

Labours only big losses were in Scotland where the voters seem to want a party that they feel is more representative of Scotland and Scottish people. Conservatives big gains have come majorly from the lib dems losses so I'm not sure how you equate that the labour campaign was a joke and was seen as that by the intelligent voter.

ThisFenceIsComfy · 08/05/2015 12:10

No Body the English public have spoken and they are right wing.

I don't want to be English anymore. Stop the bus, I want to get off.

Hotbot · 08/05/2015 12:10
