To leave baby asleep with a working monitor whilst I go next door for Christmas drinks?

Really unsure if this is a bad idea so opinions please.

Baby 18 months sound asleep with monitor on and working. DH next door quaffing mulled wine and I plan to join him...... Maybe.

Is this ok?

I don't know. I don't think I'd do it, I wouldn't be able to relax.

You will now get millions of people telling you YABU, I have a DS same age (not PFB I might add!) and I wouldn't do it, take it in turns with your DH instead?

No it is not oK.

What if there is a fire? What if they have music on and something happens and you don't hear it.

Tell DH to come home and you can quaff wine together.

Please don't, put your child first. Can't you and DH take turns?

Not a Video and small flats ( same building). All the same the majority rule and I think taking turns it is.

I did it once, I reckoned it wasn't any worse than sitting in the garden but I didn't make a habit of it.

I've done it, but I was literally the other side of the wall in a terraced house and could be back in seconds.

Do you think it would be ok?
How far away will you actually be?

Get DH to haul his arse back home so you can relax and quaff wine together. Or else tag team.

Of course it isn't OK. You will be leaving your child at home alone. You will be a in a different house. Absolutely not OK in any way.
