I would assume that everyone is a feminist for the same reason I assume people are not racist or homophobic unless they give me a reason to think otherwise.

I don't think i know anyone who isn't a feminist. The same as i assume no one i know is a racist. It's a default norm for me.

I have to say, im a female and this has never, ever happened to me. Are they asking you for other reasons?

i'm clearly guilty of this, i mean i go around all day assuming that the women i come into contact with want equal pay, the right to vote, autonomy over their own body, equal rights in all things basically etc etc. i don't specifically ask them, though

Nobody has ever asked me to speak at their feminist event. How odd that people would ask a non feminist out of the blue to do so!

I can't believe people would bother you about feminism. Don't they know how busy you are doing the housework and thinking about how fluffy kittens are?!
