Does this happen to other people? It's beginning to annoy me.

You have been terribly unfortunate op thousands of years of uninterrupted patriarchy and you had the misfortune to be born in the late twentieth century.

You poor fucker having to put up with all those pesky feminists insisting that you be paid the same as a man, not subject to domestic violence and sexual assault, control your own finances and fertility.

Mrsjayy · 28/05/2014 22:10

Op do ypu have a low opinion of allwomen or just yourself because by how I am reading your posts you are annoyed women want your point of view

WillieWaggledagger · 28/05/2014 22:10

actually while i'm of your opinion TBW (that if i could make a difference to other women, and was recognised to the extent that i'm being invited personally, i would want to), i don't think the OP should feel that she has to take up the cause of advocating for and/or inspiring women in particular if she doesn't want to take on that responsibility. it can be exhausting representing all women because you are the only woman in your position

i am curious though OP, what would you say to invitations to speak from other exclusive or minority groups? because often if you only choose to speak to "all-inclusive" groups, you actually risk ending up speaking to an exclusive group anyway (male, middle class white)

ComposHat · 28/05/2014 22:21

I bet you want to be in charge of your own vagina and everything, don't you?

I hope she is in control of it, I saw a vagina break loose from its moorings and run amok on a busy dual carriage way. It took the vagina control departments from three Police forces to cone off the motorway and then subdue it with a tranquilliser dart.

AutumnStar · 28/05/2014 22:23

The feral minge is a vicious creature.

ThatBloodyWoman · 28/05/2014 22:26

I see what you're saying Willie.

I'm kind of seeing this as a reluctance to identify with feminism, or how feminism is percievedby the op, rather than burn out or feeling an overwhelming burden of responsibility, but I can see how these could be factors.

Mrsjayy · 28/05/2014 22:26

Oh there is a feminist issue taming the feral minge

WillieWaggledagger · 28/05/2014 22:28

yes i think you're right in that perception TBW

ThatBloodyWoman · 28/05/2014 22:28

Yes, I don't think I'm a feminist.

I like people in general and would like them all to be nice to one another. I don't feel that I should support females who are persecuted any more than non females who are similarly persecuted.

HookingBrilliant · 28/05/2014 22:33

The 22:32 comment is agreeing with TBW at 22:26 by the way.

AutumnStar · 28/05/2014 22:36

But men generally don't have to contend with many of the issues that feminism addresses.

Janethegirl · 28/05/2014 22:36

I think I agree with your pov hooking. People being persecuted should always be supported irrespective of their sex.

ok, so would you speak to another exclusive group provided it wasn't just women?

AutumnStar · 28/05/2014 22:38

And being a feminist and supporting the rights of women doesn't mean you're not allowed to support anyone else who's wronged. I don't get it.

Pagwatch · 28/05/2014 22:41

Which events?

Could you tell me which events you were asked to attend?

You say it was four or five and they annoyed you so I am sure you must remember.

So - which feminist events please.

Thank you .

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 22:41

OP, I shall give you Barack's number. You might be able to help him out, since I am indisposed to.

Helpys · 28/05/2014 22:42

Are you Samantha Brick?

BitOutOfPractice · 28/05/2014 22:42

You still haven't explained op why you are being harangued by all these feminists to attend and / or speak at these feminist events. What the events are. Or why they ask you. When you are clearly not interested.

Yah clearly have a different idea of what feminism is than mine

Pagwatch · 28/05/2014 22:43
