It's really really upset me, I've had some great support on this forum but I think I have to be off.

Such a shame.

I was going to post similar. I don't post huge amounts but I have seen women in awful situations receive overwhelming support and comfort.
What I've read today courtesy of those sadistic wankers has really shocked me, and the idea of MN courting ANY links with that website sickens me.

WorraLiberty · 13/08/2013 11:35

That one what? Confused

BramshawHill · 13/08/2013 11:35

I have no idea what you're on about. Maybe this would be better in Flouncers Corner though?

Oblomov · 13/08/2013 11:35

Sorry, don't know what links you are referring to.

DeepPurple · 13/08/2013 11:36

Read the Army Rumour Service thread. Its alive and humming....That should give you a picture.

Umlauf · 13/08/2013 11:41

Yadnbu to be upset, I feel really upset and sickened. Last weekend I attended my GFILs funeral who was military all his life and served in Kenya, and that Kenya link is the most disturbing thing I've ever seen, more so as it has gone unchallenged. It is such an insult to his memory and I have been crying on and off all morning. I can't talk to DH about why as its his grandad and he would be distraught, I imagine.

However, mumsnet has helped me in so many ways since joining and I would rather a brief hiatus than a full on abandonment, especially one forced by self-confessed rapists, sadists and paedophiles. As the first of my friends to be expecting a baby (and living overseas and not knowing many people) mumsnet has kept me sane and I couldn't be without it just now.

Oblomov · 13/08/2013 11:45

Please cut the crap and give us a link.

Oblomov · 13/08/2013 11:47

attheendoftheday · 13/08/2013 11:48

Oblomov · 13/08/2013 11:50

army

MrsLouisTheroux · 13/08/2013 11:51

Another one who can't be bothered to read past 2nd line.
Hide and ignore.

filee777 · 13/08/2013 11:51

It's not what they have to say that bothers me, I've known and ignored the website for years

It's that our 'team' want to engage with them

It's in site stuff if anyone is interested

GetStuffezd · 13/08/2013 11:52

Because it's not that simple. Why on earth would MN want to forge links with a website where the users brag about raping underage "natives" while serving in Kenya, and assaulting an "aids infected whore" so violently she shits herself? And so on. It's obscene in every way and flies in the face of everything MN stands for. In my opinion.
