It's really really upset me, I've had some great support on this forum but I think I have to be off.

Such a shame.

I want to post on that thread to say don't post on that thread. But I also don't want to engage in anyway. I'm glad ice briefly read a few lines from the links. That's all I needed to know about this "mods" attempts to forge links.

I have no idea why but suspect some kind of piss take to wanting to use mumsnet for something?

We should not post / engage at all. They are sexist twats. And think it's funny that they're sexist twats.

MrsLouisTheroux · 13/08/2013 11:55

OFGS. Our 'team' engages with everyone who posts on here. Including me and you.

thebody · 13/08/2013 11:56

good grief. couldn't be bothered reading all that crap. just hide and ignore.

filee777 I honestly don't think they're trying to court them.

I think it's more about killing them with kindness so they can't go all 'ooooo look at the emotional wimmen'

They did this with the hideous F4J crew and they got pretty bored after a while.

fromparistoberlin · 13/08/2013 12:00

-confessed rapists, sadists and paedophiles.?

eh? I fail to beleive this, sorry. OP....

filee777 · 13/08/2013 12:00

Our 'team' have actively said we should engage with them and that they welcome it

That, followed by a link to a thread talking about feeding poisonous food to starving toddlers has really ruined my day

Really didn't think I would find anything of the sort on this forum, am beyond gobsmacked.

Umlauf · 13/08/2013 12:02

paris to berlin click on the link on the other thread and read the OP. the OP there is bragging about his antics. Then pass the eye-bleach!

TheMagicKeyCanFuckOff · 13/08/2013 12:03

?

ViviPru · 13/08/2013 12:04

I'm inclined to agree with WhatHo

Buddhagirl · 13/08/2013 12:07

This is the Internet! you really can't be this oversensitive! But yeah if it upsets you then leave.

Why people expect the Internet to be sweetness and light, I really don't know.

Thisisaeuphemism · 13/08/2013 12:09

Oh come on - what they most dislike about mumsnet is that it is women together- they feel threatened by it - don't let some stupid arses acting like arses mean you give up on this site.

Nancy66 · 13/08/2013 12:10

I have to agree with others. It's the internet.

If a website has become such an important part of your life then it probably is time to leave and live in the real world for a bit.

filee777 · 13/08/2013 12:11

I suppose the upshot is that I haven't felt able to eat much today

You can't 'unread' shit like that.

HeySoulSister · 13/08/2013 12:12

Flounders corner is for flouncing

Hide thread button is for hiding threads you dislike

I was here when the f4j lot caused similar trouble here.... It goes away. Accept that this side to human beings exists.

Nancy66 · 13/08/2013 12:18

It's a load of bragging from a bunch of thick squaddies.
You don't honestly think that half of that stuff actually happened do you?

It's just male bravado bollocks.

QuintessentialOldDear · 13/08/2013 12:19

Well, dont click links to inflammatory sites then. Stay here. Be safe. And stop giving them attention.

Frettchen · 13/08/2013 12:20

Our 'team' are simply allowing them to speak their piece (within posting guidelines) as is the way of public forums.

What we should have done is ignored them and not given them the time of day, but sadly that thread is gaining quite a lot of attention/replies. Whatever happened to not feeding the trolls?

YANBU to be upset - it does feel a bit like an invasion. But YABU to be posting this here and not in Flouncers' Corner.

The best thing we can do is to keep posting as usual; to keep assuming all posters are genuine and to offer the help, support and witty remarks we're famous for, and to wait for the trolls to get bored and go away.

filee777 · 13/08/2013 12:21

Yes I do think stuff like that happens. It's why people want to bomb our cities.

OP posts:
Thisisaeuphemism · 13/08/2013 12:21

There was a thread here recently, linking to that site, op knew about the history and was warned about potential for discord - some people declared they would defend the site from attacks etc - hope they are doing so now.

Tee2072 · 13/08/2013 12:22

Bye.

YouStayClassySanDiego · 13/08/2013 12:25

Ignore them, it's the internet and shite gets put on by all sorts of dickheads.

Choose carefully what you read.

Gruntfuttock · 13/08/2013 12:27

It's completely beyond me why ARRSE (which I'd never heard of until today) has moderators if they allow threads "bragging" about committing atrocities (I very briefly scanned the one linked to about "memories of Kenya") If they think that's OK what the hell could anyone post that a moderator would have to act on?

WorraLiberty · 13/08/2013 12:35

Log off and have a sandwich

When all said and done it's just 2 sites on the internet

No more, no less.

ViviPru · 13/08/2013 12:36
