Watching now. Teenagers being arrested. Parents seem to think that's fine and part of growing up. I cannot believe people like that exist...

Sorry about the typo in the heading. Of course meant to say shocked.

Am watching too.

Jaw has dropped to the floor. Cannot believe some of it - two year old walking around by himself?! Teens out late causing havoc? The parents are unbelievable. It's shocking and so sad.

ninjanurse · 17/09/2012 21:37

Im glad someone else is watching this. I am slack jawed in amazement. Especially at that little toddler found roaming the streets. I am actually incredulous people like this exist. I must have led a very sheltered life.

brighthair · 17/09/2012 21:39

It's not heavily edited either. They filmed 24/7 for months. Being personally attached to this programme Wink I'm so proud of it

FuckityFuckFuck · 17/09/2012 21:40

I'm watching it as well.

It is so sad. How can these parents think that is acceptable?

TheTermagantToaster · 17/09/2012 21:41

How could you not notice your TWO-year-old was missing?!

And the woman who said you can't 'mothercuddle' your children and that they will inevitably either be bullied or bullies tough.

And those two teenagers smirking about being arrested :(

Notcontent · 17/09/2012 21:41

The parents of the the two girls who went back tom the hotel alone - I hate to sound judgy, but it's clear from looking at them that they have a drink problem. Unbelievable.

mumofjust1 · 17/09/2012 21:42

I'm watching this - fucking horrendous Angry

TheTermagantToaster · 17/09/2012 21:42

Half an hour ago my arse.

Do tell more, brighthair?

121prob · 17/09/2012 21:43

This is awful, all of it Sad Angry

brighthair · 17/09/2012 21:43

I outed myself a while ago Grin in another post. I take 999 calls for the ambulance service. The service that is featured in this series

LadyEmmaHamilton · 17/09/2012 21:44

Disclaimer: I have no children.

But it's just fucking astonishing. "You can't stop kids going out". Erm, yes you can. "When I was a kid the police brought me home". Do you think that your example might not be a great one Hmm

LadySybildeChocolate · 17/09/2012 21:44

Goodness, we're sitting here like Shock

nancy75 · 17/09/2012 21:44

How can that little boy have even got out of the house? These people disgust me

gordyslovesheep · 17/09/2012 21:45

crap isn't it - the whole 'what can you do' and 'the kids are in charge' oh do grow a spine and take charge ffs

Teens are hard fucking work but it's your job to lay down the rules and stick to them

Sirzy · 17/09/2012 21:45

The views of the parents go a long way to explain why the children are getting arrested.

These shows do only paint a very specific picture though, I do voluntary work with young people including young people from blackpool and there are plenty of great young people and parents out there

bluebump · 17/09/2012 21:45

It's a good programme, I'm just shocked at these kids, it's very sad.

LadySybildeChocolate · 17/09/2012 21:46

Oh, little kids are masters at escapism, nancy. Wink

nancy75 · 17/09/2012 21:46

Bright hair, you have my greatest admiration, how do you keep your temper when you have to deal with some of these people?

FelixDaSouza · 17/09/2012 21:46

I don't think I've seen anything more Depressing than this programme. Sad

Just horrible. What hope do these poor kids have?

cbeebiesinducedcoma · 17/09/2012 21:46

I really feel for that alcoholics kid.

aftereight · 17/09/2012 21:47

I am shocked. Those poor children. The two yr old Shock
And on a slightly different note, the guy who paid the toothless witch to give him one under the pier

LadyEmmaHamilton · 17/09/2012 21:47

I find it completely unbelievable TBH. I would have found it just as shocking when I was a teenager - it wouldn't have occurred to me to behave like that.

And as for this poor girl with the alcoholic mum - GCSEs on two hours sleep? There's just no words.

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 17/09/2012 21:47

I can't watch things like this. I've come to bed so I don't watch it. I find it disturbing that children are brought up like that. What chance do they have in life?

And I think you do an amazing job bright. Needed an ambulance once for ds1 when he was 2. He was fitting and the lady on the other end of the phone was just amazing. Don't know how you do it.

Sirzy · 17/09/2012 21:48

and the mum still thinking she has done a good job of raising the children when it would seem they have raised themselves :(
