Not been here too long, but it seems that almost everyone here is a perfect parent who look down on the mere mortals who come on here for help and support - maybe i have just been unlucky in the threads I have picked to look at or comment on, but surely not everyone here has an ass so tight it squeaks when they walk??!!

Not me lol I am the antithesis of MN perfection.Grin

Pagwatch · 22/07/2012 18:12

God yes. I am. Fucking perfect.

amck5700 · 22/07/2012 18:12

no idea what YHBU means, but not that I know of, I haven't been upset by anybody, but as soon as someone admits to being less than perfect, then the vultures descend it seems.

usualsuspect · 22/07/2012 18:13

I'm perfect and always right.

HTH

cocolepew · 22/07/2012 18:13

I'm more than perfect, just ask my parole officer if you don't believe me.

crazynanna · 22/07/2012 18:13

You've been very unlucky, unless you do extreme things, like leave your 3 year old to look after your newborn.

Many MN'ers admit their faults to show their support, when someone is being judgey or doubting themselves.

Many are straight talking, though and won't dress up saying what they consider to be poor parenting, to spare another poster's feelings.

amck5700 · 22/07/2012 18:14

Either I have stumbled into Stepford or people are less than honest.

Really? I have to say that my impressions of mumsnet have been the polar opposite. I have both found and offered help, advice and support here. Recently mumsnetters the world over were praying/chanting/lighting candles/thinking positive thoughts for Expat's dd as she fought her battle with leukaemia, and some travelled the length of the country and overnight to attend her funeral. Mumsnetters have collaborated to make 14 blankets, to offer a little comfort to mumsnetters whose partner or child has died - just visit the Woolly Hugs website to see pictures.

usualsuspect · 22/07/2012 18:15

Me lie? nah I'm honest as well as perfect

Pagwatch · 22/07/2012 18:16

Do you think mnhq would give us a new topic?

" I haven't been here long but I would like to be rude in a very generalised and uninformed way about this site and its members"

Then they would all be together.

amck5700 · 22/07/2012 18:16

i was on the thread where the woman thought that the way her son had used a swear word was amusing - then loads of people came on and said it wasn't funny and implied that she was a poor excuse for a mother - not all i have to say, but a sizeable number.

OP posts:
TidyDancer · 22/07/2012 18:16

I think the OP is referring to the swearing thread.

I don't think he/she likes it that people didn't find a three-year-old saying fucker very funny.

TidyDancer · 22/07/2012 18:17

There you go.

Thread about a thread.

Poor form.

amck5700 · 22/07/2012 18:17

...and so they arrive.

OP posts:
Pagwatch · 22/07/2012 18:17

Yep.
Honest. Perfect. Modest. Mary Frickin Poppins.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 22/07/2012 18:17

And you have condemned the whole website on the basis of one thread. Do you think that is fair or reasonable? Hmm

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 22/07/2012 18:18

No, not perfect. You?

Who has arrived?

What thread did i miss?

crazynanna · 22/07/2012 18:19

But wouldn't you get that anywhere and everywhere? In RL and on forums'?

About the sweary kid I mean...some will be against and say so quite emphatically and some will be just 'so what'.

Takes all sorts to make a world

amck5700 · 22/07/2012 18:19

No I'm not perfect and that thread was an example, i have noticed a few on the same vein, but better not have a thread about a thread, as obviously that rule must be obeyed!!

OP posts:
usualsuspect · 22/07/2012 18:20

These threads are very tedious
