If the dc are asleep and the parents wanted to order a takeaway, wouldn't Indian or Chinese etc be a more obvious choice than pizza (which is often eaten with the dcs anyway)?

What an odd question. We always make pizza rather than order it in as it is nicer that way, but we enjoy eating it. And we don't have any children!

My children eat all sorts, but my decision on what to eat isn't influenced by whether they are awake or not.

I imagine that once the kids are asleep, parents can have a precious couple of hours ordering whatever the hell they want. It's not all about the children you know!

If we want something delivered we go for pizza. Chinese and Indian we usually have to fetch. We ALWAYS do this after dcs are in bed. Because we are cruel obviously.
