If the dc are asleep and the parents wanted to order a takeaway, wouldn't Indian or Chinese etc be a more obvious choice than pizza (which is often eaten with the dcs anyway)?

My kids would feel like they were missing out, if we ordered Chinese food when they were in bed. Pizza is no big deal in our house - we can make that any time.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 05/06/2012 09:40

Mmmmmmmm pizza.

Righteousdude · 05/06/2012 09:41

We often do. Dc are 1 & 3. They get fed vegetables and shit then me and dp gorge on junk food once they're asleep mwhahaha

Dprince · 05/06/2012 09:41

I agree with pp. I bet this is a dc who has got up this morning and is enraged after finding empty pizza boxes. It would have been ok for the parents to Chinese or a curry as said dc doesn't like the. Dc now feels sad he was left our, not taking into consideration their parents are adults and can eat what they want.

LadyTeeAndBiscuits · 05/06/2012 09:43

Personally, I order all take away when my son is awake. Why on earth would I deny him nice food and have to do the washing up twice?

cory · 05/06/2012 09:43

Is this for a book you're writing?

My dc wouldn't have forgiven us if we'd had an Indian they weren't in on; pizza they wouldn't be worried about.

My children can't eat pizza, so the only time DH can order a pizza is when the DC aren't around.

Sometimes we have a McDonalds when they have gone to bed, even though they can eat that. Sometimes we want it, sometimes they don't deserve a treat if they have been poorly behaved, sometimes I just think they have already had enough 'treat' food that week and don't need anything else fatty/salty.

I hadn't realised there were takeaway rules to comply with!

hiveofbees · 05/06/2012 09:43

Strange question... Presumably they will order whichever food they most want to have.

Maybe you could do a FoI request to Pizza Hut and test your hypothesis.

BerthaKitt · 05/06/2012 09:44

I do this but if I feel guilty I just shove a slice under DS's pillow for him to nibble when he wakes up. You can't do that as easily with Chinese or Indian food and it stains the sheets terribly.

Respect people's rights to want pizza!

wise Bertha...

I live next to 2 fish and chip shops. I have pie and mushy peas and gravy once when they were in bed. I actually tip toed because DS was still awake.

I writhed with ecstasy at my decadence!

HRH2shoesofMn · 05/06/2012 09:48

what an odd question
really odd, grown ups can eat what they like

MyRoyalLentillyness · 05/06/2012 09:49

Very nearly a full moon people. That's all I'm saying.

Meglet · 05/06/2012 09:49

I used to order pizza after DS was in bed and I was bf newborn DD. You can eat pizza with one hand while holding a baby.

FWIW my children have never had a takeaway, and I haven't had one in over 3 years.

Why do I even care Confused.

LST · 05/06/2012 09:50

Me and DP order pizza. Why what's wrong with that?

Weasleyismyking · 05/06/2012 09:50

Is this like subliminal advertising, making us all want pizza?
Are you dominos?

JumpJockey · 05/06/2012 09:53

We had pizza delivered last night at 9pm after the dd's had gone to sleep. I had ham, peppers and mushrooms, and DH had hawaiian. It was fab Grin

Though clearly this makes us bad parents.

Jinsei · 05/06/2012 09:55

I am intrigued! Waiting for the OP to come back & explain herself!

marshmallowpies · 05/06/2012 09:55

I agree with Meglet...pizza can be eaten one-handed, curry & Chinese can't.

Geeklover · 05/06/2012 09:55

Dd and ds1 would be far more pissed off if I ordered a Chinese after they went to bed tbh. Neither care much for pizza.
I sometimes fancy a pizza and if dh and I were having a quiet night we might order a take away and sometimes it just might be pizza Confused

savoycabbage · 05/06/2012 09:55

No it is not uncommon to order a pizza to eat if you want a pizza to eat.

valiumredhead · 05/06/2012 09:56

What a bonkers thing to think about!

TrinityIsAFuckingRhino · 05/06/2012 09:56

who gives a shit whether you order pizza or curry after the kids are in bed?

HRHcatgirl1976 · 05/06/2012 09:59

Now you have made me want pizza and I am on the Dukan

YABU and a bit strange. Unless you are a child upset that its parents have had a sneaky Dominos
