How often do you eat out (not including McDonalds!)?

trustissues75 · 07/02/2012 12:02

Less than I'd like to!! About twice a month.

ceebie · 07/02/2012 12:04

Very rarely. Need to save and it's an expense I can manage without. We do treat ourselves to a very occasional curry take-away instead.

COCKadoodledooo · 07/02/2012 12:04

Very rarely. Birthdays pretty much it.

lesley33 · 07/02/2012 12:04

Once or twice a week. But mainly cheap meals e.g. local pub 2 meals for £7. Posher meals much much more rarely.

PostBellumBugsy · 07/02/2012 12:04

Very rarely. Less than once a month.

OldGreyWiffleTest · 07/02/2012 12:05

Once a year on my birthday.

WorraLiberty · 07/02/2012 12:05

Just birthdays/anniversaries really.

Gumby · 07/02/2012 12:05

Wetherspoons Sunday roasts very good value, come free with a drink and are huge & taste luvverly

Pascha · 07/02/2012 12:05

Maybe half a dozen times a year?

redskyatnight · 07/02/2012 12:07

2 or 3 times on holiday. Maybe 2 or 3 other times.

squeakytoy · 07/02/2012 12:09

once a week with MIL, once a month or so with husband as he doesnt like eating out...

OhTheConfusion · 07/02/2012 12:09

About once a week for a family meal (usualy Saturday) plus a 'mummys lunch' every fortnight where we drive people mad with multiple prams!

Emsmaman · 07/02/2012 12:15

once a week, sometimes twice. Normally weekend lunches with DH and DD. Haven't been out past 6pm for nearly a year! When DD was younger and not mobile would have had one or two mummy lunches during the week as well but usually taking advantage of a lunch special or voucher deal

mumblechum1 · 07/02/2012 12:17

About once a fortnight. Had dinner B&B at le Manoir on Sunday for dh's birthday which was yummy

DanJARMouse · 07/02/2012 12:19

The last time we ate was a family meal in August. Before that was October 2010.

Not very often at all!

Nagoo · 07/02/2012 12:20

Just me and the kids, every other month. Usually wagamama's.

Me, my parents and the kids, probably the same, 6 times a year.

I wish I could afford to take them out every weekend. They're feral little beasts at home but eating out is (almost) civilised and I get to chat to them properly.

NoWayNoHow · 07/02/2012 12:21

As a couple, not nearly as much as we'd like! New to the area, and don't have family close by/babysitters organised yet. Probably twice in the last 4 months.

However, DH and I facilitate each other going out with friends - sometimes it's dinner, sometimes lunch, sometimes drinks.

Agincourt · 07/02/2012 12:21

rarely.

went out to a nice pub for my birthday with my mum and went to the harrevester with my dh for lunch prior to christmas :o and have done mcdonalds a few times with children but that's it! Lack of babysitters is rather restricting to ones social life

mrsjay · 07/02/2012 12:22

Birthdays mainly on the odd time we will have a meal out , we have takeaway twice a month , took 5 of us out for dd2s birthday on sunday cost us £101 Shock so we cant afford that every other week , wasnt a fancy place was a themed reasturant , bloody colas were more expensive than a glass of wine !! sorry im ranting about it Grin

Agincourt · 07/02/2012 12:23

zukiecat, I can't quite believe you got flamed for going out for a cheap meal Confused are you supposed to stay at home eating gruel and darning your 10 year old socks?

staylucky · 07/02/2012 12:23

Really never... Sad

But saying that we've young children and tbh I really really love it when DP cooks, he will cook something naice once a week or so and no restaurant can beat it Grin

A couple of times a month at least, but it's usually because we have to because of other things that we are doing, and its generally pubs and non expensive restaurants.
