DH was quite surprised to hear about Jeremy Clarkson, but I wasnt. Not at all, infact I am surprised to hear if a famous man hasnt had an affair at some point.

They are famous, rich and away from home alot so are bound to be targetted by a certain type of woman. Also, alot of them are cossetted and looked after to the point where they believe that they can get away with things that us mere mortals cant, despite the fact that the paps are following them all the time.

Am I cynical as DH suggests or is he niave?!

I'm surprised Clarkson managed to find a second woman who could bear to let him touch her.

fluffles · 03/04/2011 19:31

Jeremy Clarkson is a self-important mysoginistic twat so i am not surprised at all.

But i do think that some famous men can definitely be faithful.

minibmw2010 · 03/04/2011 19:32

This isn't even the first time he's been caught out either, its nearly always BBC co-workers ....

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 03/04/2011 19:33

Is she Norwegian?

kittya · 03/04/2011 19:33

I think some men are that famous it wouldnt pay to be unfaithfull. Im thinking the likes of Bono but, then again, maybe the huge ones can get away with anything.

Im not surprised about Jeremy Clarkson, how did he get found out?

clairefromsteps · 03/04/2011 21:35

It surprises me not one iota that a bell-end like Clarkson would have an affair. What astonishes me is that he's found not one but TWO women who could bear to have sex with him. Mind boggling.

MrsOtter · 03/04/2011 21:36

I concur wholeheartedly with clairefromsteps

BelleDameSansMerci · 03/04/2011 21:38

"Targetted by a certain type of woman"??? Hmm

Or, perhaps, they just can't keep it in their trousers?

ChristinedePizan · 03/04/2011 21:41

Poor men, unable to keep their dicks in their pants when lured by sirens Hmm

fruitshootsandheaves · 03/04/2011 21:41

are you really claire from Steps?
My DD loved Steps and went to see them in concert
They were crap, completely uninterested in the fans, seemed bored by it all, unbelievably callous toward the people who'd paid to see them

Rant over

Sorry for thread hijack

Clarkson is a prat

as you were

squeakytoy · 03/04/2011 21:42

The news article I read, just says a colleague.. its probably James May Grin

BelleDameSansMerci · 03/04/2011 21:44

squeaky Grin

fit2drop · 03/04/2011 21:45

OK so maybe they just can't keep it in their trousers when they are targetted by a certain type of woman.

agree with clairefromsteps but [shudders ]at the image implied

wendyfromtheyard · 03/04/2011 21:57

have you ever seen bono's wife she is beautiful and one classy lady. they have also been togther from school. do you think maybe the likes of bono hasn't been unfaithful because he actually is madly in love with his wife?

wendyfromtheyard · 03/04/2011 21:58

christ ignore me im half cut, dont know what im on about. i better go before i talk any mor crap

Chil1234 · 03/04/2011 22:16

I hadn't heard about Clarkson but I'm surprised, to be honest. I don't know what his wife is like but always imagined her as being a bit of a tough cookie to keep bumptious old Jezza in check. Not tough enough, apparently! Still, my experience is that, regardless of income or fame, when presented with an opportunity to play away from home, the world divides neatly into those that take it up and those that don't.

LoveLeonardCohen · 03/04/2011 22:19

Is jeremy Clarkson viewed as attractive and a bit of a pull, or am I missing something? I mean...would you...?

SpringHeeledJack · 03/04/2011 22:19

I just wanted to type "I agree with ClaireFromSteps"

that'll do

SpringHeeledJack · 03/04/2011 22:20

I do! I do agree with clairefromsteps!

OrangeBernard · 03/04/2011 22:21

There was a rumour about bono though

SpringHeeledJack · 03/04/2011 22:21

I would sooner do the Hamster than Clarkson, and that's saying something, I tell thee

Skinit · 03/04/2011 22:24

Eeew! I mean why? LOOK at him!
