To not be at all surprised to hear about the latest celeb affair?

DH was quite surprised to hear about Jeremy Clarkson, but I wasnt. Not at all, infact I am surprised to hear if a famous man hasnt had an affair at some point.

They are famous, rich and away from home alot so are bound to be targetted by a certain type of woman. Also, alot of them are cossetted and looked after to the point where they believe that they can get away with things that us mere mortals cant, despite the fact that the paps are following them all the time.

Am I cynical as DH suggests or is he niave?!

Not to mention moving U2's royalties to the Netherlands so they can avoid paying Irish taxes. Their own economy's going down the pan but they're alright.

Oh and the small matter of his ONE charity receiving £9.6million in donations but only giving £118k to good causes Hmm

I can't believe that about the ONE charity! Well, sadly I can but I'm horrified at that. Can't you go to prison for doing that, it's bloody criminal.

It's made me not want to give to charity now, I've heard a few things on a similar theme (money sitting in a bank account and not helping the people who need it) so I'm keeping hold of my hard earned cash to spend on beer

Oh I cannot stand Bono.

I never buy anything or give to any charity endorsed by that self righteous prick. Until he gives a decent proportion of what he actually is worth then he can fuck right off expecting me (poor emoticon) to give what I seriously cannot afford to give.
Message: Bono stop fucking making songs and asking me to bleeding buy them. YOU donate the money yourself, you CAn afford it.
At least Jc doesn't pretend to be green.

kittya · 06/04/2011 22:48

How many kids has he got, ten or summat?

HarrietPartyHands · 06/04/2011 23:23

Please can I put forward some thoughts:

You know how Nick Clegg's had 30 lovers? Supposedly?

Do we think this is evidence of his being a good or bad lover?

29 women were happy never to sleep with him again. The way I see it. That's a lot of women.

It's kind of like: "I'll give you a great reference and move you on to the next punter (provided you never darken my door again.)"

I've always wondered this about men that get around. Maybe no one really cares if they move on.

(Would take cleggy over JC any day though!)

HarrietPartyHands · 06/04/2011 23:24

Bono has four kids. BTW.

hairylights · 06/04/2011 23:55

Pmsl at "targeted by a certain type of woman"!

If a married man has an affair it's HIS fault - he's the one who made and broke the vows. And no I'm not surprised. He's a prize arse.

kittya · 07/04/2011 00:19

How longs cleggy been married?

HarrietPartyHands · 07/04/2011 00:27

cleggy got married in 2000. any of the 29 emerge in the media?

Bogeyface · 07/04/2011 00:29

Popped back to say 3 things

A) My longest ever thread, woohoo!!
B) "Targetted by a certain type of woman" I meant it to mean that there are women who will target a man if he is rich and/or famous (preferably both), will not let the small fact that he is married stand in her way and wouldnt look at him twice if he wasnt rich and/or famous. That is not to say I dont blame the man for playing away, but that they are more likely to have women throwing themselves at their feet.
and C) As I started this, will it be me that JC sues?! :o
