DH was quite surprised to hear about Jeremy Clarkson, but I wasnt. Not at all, infact I am surprised to hear if a famous man hasnt had an affair at some point.

They are famous, rich and away from home alot so are bound to be targetted by a certain type of woman. Also, alot of them are cossetted and looked after to the point where they believe that they can get away with things that us mere mortals cant, despite the fact that the paps are following them all the time.

Am I cynical as DH suggests or is he niave?!

I expect women who are kept in material comfort by highly-paid alpha males turn a blind eye to affairs pretty often. I'd be more astonished if they didn't, frankly.

Exactly UQD - how many women are going to give up a 3 million pound house over a quick shag that meant nothing.
I wouldn't ...

Clarkson has pube hair. There is no way on earth he could ever be sexually attractive

FACT

So, TSC - any more exciting clues?

fair enough unquiet

But in these days there are some very rich wives. Does work from that side of the bed?

I must say when ever I say an "open marriage" gig on channel 4 or 5 tv.

\ I usually end up thinking you pair wont be together in six months.

But vast amounts of lucre could make a difference. ( should we ressurrect that very old word CUCKOLDED It always amuses me. How easy cuck turns to c+ck. (I am cleaning up my language.)

Apparently Hammond's got a 'party hands' problem and has a thing for BBC girls who are not his wife as well so even if he knew about Clarkson, I doubt he'd say anything.

Awaiting deletion.

JC's wife is fairly high powered - she is his manager and credited with bringing him from nowhere to where he is now. I don't think she'll be leaving the £3m house.

Gabby - Men aren't as forgiving where extra marital fun is concerned.
Women can turn a blind eye whereas men can't. Male pride and all that.

Abs, are you suggesting Jezza would be ok, if only he had a sac and crack session at his local salon? Shock

No Jenai. Nothing in this world, even extensive plastic surgery so he looked like Johnny Depp, could make Jezza sexually attractive. Nothing

Jeremy Clarkson ate my Hamster' would be a good name ( if there's ever any gay sex allegations on Top Gear ) [doubtful]

Im sure a thread on Mumsnet (about 6 months ago) hinted, quite heavily, that JC had a Super Injunction out about his affair. Seems his laywers can't be that good.

I can understand why his wife might not want to leave him - nice house, children, heck, she might even love him.

But why, why, why would any woman want to be his mistress. The thought of shagging JC is stomach turning (in a diarrohea way, not a butterflies in tummy way.)

Is anyone else hoping that Jezza's reading this thread and taking an almighty blow to his ego? Grin

Aw c'mon now, Clarkson's a Pink Floyd fan - he can't be all bad. And he's a fan of the greatest prog rock band of 'em all, the wonderful Yes. I'll get me coat...

I also heard about the crisp-lover offering up the juicy details of a family illness in order to stop the tabloids revealing his affair....charming (although presumably his (now ex) wife agreed at the time).

Piers Morgan claims (yes, yes I know) that the reason for his ongoing feud with JC is that when the Mirror was going to splash a previous indiscretion JC came round and begged PM personally to keep quiet because he'd just been comforting a girl because her grandmother had died/he was trying desperately to save his marriage and similar BS which PM later discovered to be untrue. Believe or not as you wish.

The real issue is...James May, would you?
