fuck off

QueenofDreams · 18/03/2011 23:02

I'm not an arsehole, I'm just broke and with mounting debts. I can't afford to give to charity right now.

yabu (and an arsehole) tell you what - why don't you donate on my behalf huh?

Fleecy · 18/03/2011 23:02

I think a lot of people do give generously to less publicised but no less important causes.

I always feel that things that are so high profile generate plenty of donations and do loads of good but there are many smaller charities and causes out there who are struggling and don't get loads of celeb support, airtime etc.

So it's not that I wouldn't want to support it, just that I know it's already generating support and I'd rather donate elsewhere.

LauraNorder · 18/03/2011 23:02

Was just going to say the same Stewie

Alambil · 18/03/2011 23:03

Be careful. It'll hurt when you fall off your horse. It's really high up there.

Fleecy · 18/03/2011 23:04

I didn't say that very well but hopefully you get what I mean.

It's raising loads of money, other fantastic causes don't have the same degree of support.

I donated the £2 for the DS's to go dressed in red at school today.

I've not donated any more.

Why not?

Because I already support charities working in the areas that Comic Relief does and when the cash allows donate extra direct to them.

magicmummy1 · 18/03/2011 23:04

YABVU

As it happens, I have donated. But there are many other very worthy causes, and it would be perfectly reasonable for people to choose to donate to these instead.

Thingumy · 18/03/2011 23:05

did you say that to the homeless person you walked past this week?

Ismene · 18/03/2011 23:05

Hahaha, if only it were so black and white.

I give my money to mental health charities, am I an arsehole?

LilaTheBrave · 18/03/2011 23:05

Really? I'm amazed, can you watch it and not donate? I'm skint, really skint, but I can't not give something?!

OP posts:
Thingumy · 18/03/2011 23:06

did you donate to Japan OP?

LoveLeonardCohen · 18/03/2011 23:06

YABU...it's up to each individual. If they don't donate it doesn't me they're an arsehole
