some of the opinions posted are hideously ignorant, largly offensive show the poster to be a cunt.

it has nothing to do with polictical correctness or netmums fluffyness.

it is all to do with the poster being a total and utter wanker

Ignorance takes many forms. Some people think foul language is completly ignorant for example...and some others don't.

It takes all sorts to make the world go round.

AtYourCervix · 07/02/2011 19:35

nope. some people are just cunts. some are PC cunts or non-pc cunts but still cunts. and fuckers.

usualsuspect · 07/02/2011 19:35

yep

Tortington · 07/02/2011 19:36

name the cunt in question

steps101 · 07/02/2011 19:37

"un-PC" is a polite way of saying "stupid bigoted cunt." So no, YANBU.

penelopestitsdropped · 07/02/2011 19:40

most of the people on a particular thread Custardo.

and yes i do understand you have posted there.

Sadly i think if many of those "opinions" had been posted elsewhere on the boards they would have been reported or challenged.

but under the guise of "lighthearted" it is seemingly ok to be down right offensive, biggoted and ignorant.

OP posts:
AtYourCervix · 07/02/2011 19:40

ignorant, stupid, bigoted cunts too.

oh i p[osted on it. something similar to what i have posted here.

i was linked to a clip of vic reeves doing the "ooooh" holding a handbag.

it would seem my revulsion to being told my sons condition does not exist, amongst other seriously vile comments is merely a display of my lack of humour.

This place really is going to the dogs.

it was lovely to see the oldies back the other week. no wonder they didn't stick around though

BuzzLiteBeer · 07/02/2011 19:46

thread linky?

stretch · 07/02/2011 19:47

Agree with OP, YANBU.

Quite frankly disgusted with some posts on that thread. A few were funny and I found myself nodding and smiling, but a handful were definitely just looking to have a pop at certain 'groups'

(SN posts in particular made me Angry)

penelopestitsdropped · 07/02/2011 19:49

the "unpopular opinions" ones.

be warned it is not for those with delicate blood pressures

stretch i am apoplectic with rage at some of them.

i am really angry that they have been left to stand, let alone having an entire second thread.

Whilst some are just trying to have a laugh the majority are using it as cover to say some incredibly offensive things thatthey know full well would normally be ronded upon.

sadly Lenin i have seen very little about MN just lately that can be described as "cleverer"

OP posts:
BuzzLiteBeer · 07/02/2011 19:54

Thats a lot of cuntishness in one place.

Aitch · 07/02/2011 19:55

haven't seen any of it (just knew to stay off, iykwim) but afaia peachy has just de-regged over it. Sad

ambarth · 07/02/2011 19:55

YANBU prejudices about disabilities are not valid opinions. If you don't think ADHD and depresion exist fine, just show me your psychiatry qualification and your research paper Dr Bigot.

bubblewrapped · 07/02/2011 19:56

I find people who use the C word to be lacking in vocabulary. It is an offensive word and makes you no better than the people who you are trying to sound as if you are better than.

It really does put you in the bracket of being low class.

LaWeaselMys · 07/02/2011 19:56

I don't know why disabilist (for lack of a better phrase) posts are allowed and for eg, homophobic not.

I knew that thread would get bad, decided to stay away. Not very helpful to anyone offended though.
