To think swinging is URRGH!?

There is are two couples on This Morning just now talking about their love for swinging. They're just your normal looking every day couples. One couple own a swinging hotel and they do to clubs.

I find this really sleazy and just plain weird. She's saying that it's really common amongst primary school teachers too!!

Eeeew I bet they'll be swapping after the show.

AIBU to think this is a very strange thing to do and be so open about?

swinging with them is urgh, especially those scary eyebrows

Thingumy · 13/01/2011 10:45

It's their choice isn't it?

Hullygully · 13/01/2011 10:46

I don't think people really understand swinging.

bupcakesandcunting · 13/01/2011 10:48

Cripes. If I turned up at a swingers club and they were on offer, I'd feel short-changed.

tomhardyismydh · 13/01/2011 10:48

i think this morning is going down the pan.

this interview is drap and not even stimulating or intelegent in anyway.

its like reading a copy of takeabreak, for god sake they had an equally drap interview with a mob princess.

what a load of shite!!!

it's on 'This Morning' not Newsnight Wink

Starbuck999 · 13/01/2011 10:50

But if they are both happy with it, and the couples that they meet to "swing" with are happy about it then who cares?

Perhaps it's their way of maintaining a healthy exciting sex life well into a long marriage. Maybe if more people thought about swininging there'd be less people off having affairs!

Not for me, but I can totally see why they do it.

TurkeyBurgerThing · 13/01/2011 10:51

I understand its their choice and it's not harming anyone but...

The thought that your child's head master and her husband could be going at it with your neighbours is a bit nnnnnnnnnngh!

TurkeyBurgerThing · 13/01/2011 10:54

Starbuck 999....surely it IS having an affair isn't it? Just an excuse to dress it up as something else?

Freaks! Not as bad as them gays though. Prison is too good for those types. The cheek of it! Actually having sex with other consenting adults! Ungodly is what it is. Of course if they were attractive at least it would make it palatable. Ban uglies from having sex, I say. Unless they have arbitrary titles like husband and wife of course. Then it's fine.

Biscuit Hmm

Not a swinger btw. But why anyone would concern themselves over anyone else's sex life is beyond me.

ChickensAreFlyingUnderTheRadar · 13/01/2011 11:00

I find the swapping of bodily fluids with lots of randoms a bit ick, but then I shower twice daily and have ishooos with hygiene

tomhardyismydh · 13/01/2011 11:00

vey true point taken, have recently become a student and was soo looking forward to mornings filled with this morning. might need to swtich off and switch R4 on. Wink

FindingStuffToChuckOut · 13/01/2011 11:03

It has never appealed to me. Doesn't bother me that others might like it though, but I really don't want to know the details thanks.

MissBeehiving · 13/01/2011 11:03

fbwife - I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Do you wear a a swingers necklace? I'll be very disappointed if you don't. Smile

ShirleyKnot · 13/01/2011 11:07

It's not my cup of tea at all, so I don't do it.

Couldn't give a flying fuck about people who do like it and do it though, it doesn't affect me does it?

I can never quite understand why people get so het up about other people's sex lives TBH.

"spices our sex life no end after 10 years together".
Doesn't say a lot for your sex life then does it? Don't you feel like you've failed somehow? 10 years is nothing.
If sex with your lifelong partner is boring, it's either your fault, their fault or joint laziness, how does adding other people into the mix enrich your joint sex life? Confused

Anyway, don't you know that a man who gives a woman oral sex is at risk of mouth and throat cancer due to the prevalence of hpv?
I know they were scaremongering (wildly) on BBC3 the other night but it is still a risk, however small. I would imagine that all swingers have got or have had the hpv virus - what a lovely thought.

TurkeyBurgerThing · 13/01/2011 11:09

Ok, so those of you who partake in a bit of this...what do you do if you go along to a meeting and there are people you know there? Like your postman or your DH's parents or someone else you know who you'd NEVER im a month of Sundays want to see naked??

I just keep thinking of that vile shitbag Tommy Sheridan. Maybe that's what wierds me out so much...
