To think swinging is URRGH!?

There is are two couples on This Morning just now talking about their love for swinging. They're just your normal looking every day couples. One couple own a swinging hotel and they do to clubs.

I find this really sleazy and just plain weird. She's saying that it's really common amongst primary school teachers too!!

Eeeew I bet they'll be swapping after the show.

AIBU to think this is a very strange thing to do and be so open about?

The thought of two men (or two women) having sex doesn't make me want to vomit but the thought of someone watching their own husband with another man sure does, just like the thought of me having sex with a woman wouldn't exactly thrill DH either.

Atlantis is well classy, yes? I'd love to sit outside and watch the comings and goings, I can only imagine the clientelle.
Burslem is possibly the roughest shithole in the Potteries, and that's really saying something.

Your last post kind of backs up my thinking that it's more than "just shagging" and it's like you're looking to seek people on your wavelength similar to how someone would do if they were having an affair? You speak like you get a bit more emotionally involved with these people....like you would if you were "on the pull"?

If swinging is just shagging don't you go there stick it in the hole and leave?

Just trying to understand it from the swingee's point of view!

A good friend recently outed herself to me as a swinger(at a party,both v drunk). It did explain the "girly nights" she was always going onHmm. Dont think any less of her.She is young,free and single and not harming anyone. I asked her loads of the questions that have been asked on here and was quite enlightining really!. Is actually something dh and I have discussed(in semi-jokey fashion) but I am far too jealous to watch him have sex with anyone else!.

I'm talking about reality here, not fantasy.

You'd really want to see your OH having sex with a woman, or another man, really?

It might be a nice, kinky, little mastubatory fantasy but the reality would be very different.
