Well she could certainly teach him about hair products.

And he could teach her about music.

Serenity - with Simon Cowell behind her, anything's possible.

SuSylvester · 23/02/2010 20:29

Harry and her. oh yes

lucykate · 23/02/2010 20:33

don't think she needs any advice. marriage was a publicity sham from the start to hide that he's gay and she's not a racist, it's run it's course, the exit strategy, ie him getting caught, was planned from the start.

alledgedly.

UnquietDad · 23/02/2010 21:21

I boggle a bit at the idea of a sham marriage with an exit strategy from the start... I'm not saying I disbelieve it, but it does seem to require a degree of Machiavellian plotting, which I could well believe of a cunning creature like Miss Harding but not of a simple soul like Cole. Oh, well, I'm sure she has "people" to do that.

As a man it is difficult to pass comment on this without slipping into Schadenfreude. Especially if you were no good at sport at school and hated the "jock" types (to use US high school parlance) who always got the pretty girls... It's an example of one of the arrogant shits getting his comeuppance for just assuming he could have any woman he wanted whenever he wanted, and rest assured that those of us who were geeks and nerds ant school are LOVING - THIS - TO - BITS

I mean, why is there this "pop stars have always got to get with footballers and vice-versa" mentality? Can anyone think of a single example of a female celebrity renowned mainly for her looks who has got together with a man primarily renowned for his brains and not his wallet - apart from the one everyone always mentions (Egghead Marries Hourglass)?

compo · 23/02/2010 21:25

I don't believe it was a sham at all, no one really lives like that except Prince Charles

SerenityNowakaBleh · 23/02/2010 21:54

Hm. Was trying to think of an example of a famous person UQD, but couldn't. Obviously us gorgeous super-model types in non-Celebo land do this all the time.

Bonsoir · 23/02/2010 21:55

Take him to the cleaners.

SixtyFootDoll · 23/02/2010 22:00
  1. Do a duet with Joe McElderry
  2. errrrrrrrr
noddyholder · 23/02/2010 22:00

get your hair cut

GetOrfMoiLand · 23/02/2010 22:01

Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett UQD.

Mind you that ended in divorce and all.

Cate Blanchett didn't pick her husband for his looks I don't think.

UnquietDad · 23/02/2010 23:40

Hmm, yes, not the best example for that reason!

I don't know much about Mr Blanchett. But if he is rich that just proves my point.

WhatSheSaid · 23/02/2010 23:53

Cate Blanchett's husband

He's a playwright and screenwtier, I don't think he's particularly loaded.

WhatSheSaid · 23/02/2010 23:54

writer

SerenityNowakaBleh · 24/02/2010 09:07

Thandie Newton is married to Ol Parker, who is a writer and director.

TweedyneeCole · 24/02/2010 09:10

Don't give interviews to Hello / OK / The NOTW giving 'your side of the story'.

sockmonkey · 24/02/2010 09:25

Davina McCall is married to a builder AFAIK.

Tweedy - yes dignity, always dignity.

noddyholder · 24/02/2010 09:27

davinas dh is a tv presenter/producer I think

JulesJules · 24/02/2010 09:45

She seems to be doing OK so far

SerenityNowakaBleh · 24/02/2010 09:51

I think she's already started losing the dignity a bit - dumped him by text, announced stuff on twitter. come on woman.

She has got the wardrobe down. Left LA in grey (ambiguous - are they togther, aren't they?). Arrived in London in black, no wedding ring (the marriage is dead), giant sunglasses (crying a lot).

absinthe · 24/02/2010 09:53

Right, minor skin graft to get rid of a certain tattoo, ditch the hair extensions (a £10,000 down payment to a charity in India will be enough to fulfil your karmic obligations).

HalfTermHero · 24/02/2010 10:04

You tried to save your marriage but that is an impossible task when only one party is 'trying'. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. You are doing the right thing and you can walk away with your head held high.

God yes please get your hair done - you would so suit something short and funky, ditch the barbie look.

Keep Cowell at arm's length - and any other bloke that homes in on you at this point. Yes, even UQD!

Don't get back with Ashley, that would just start to get really tiresome.

Divatheshopaholic · 24/02/2010 10:50

All i think is, she is lucky did not get preggers by her husband.
Just move on, do what you did.
Dont repeat the mistake marrying foorballer.

Baileysismyfriend · 24/02/2010 10:50

Steer clear of naff lottery adverts, you both looked like complete twonks.
