That was my serious suggestion.

Less serious would have been make him a lord and foreign secretary ....

You mean, like Dave Cameron was made Foreign Secretary by Sunak?

DuncinToffee · Yesterday 18:28

Title suggestions please, we are already on the last page!

Trump is a cunt springs to mind right now tbh.

(Sorry, was just listening to what the people of Ukraine are facing this winter and it has made me v sad and angry).

I had forgotten that {fingers crossed}

Of course the bottom line would be only if that what Keir wanted

I actually think Starmer would be an excellent Foreign Secretary, but obviously he’s no longer an MP now. So he would have to be made a lord in order to be given that role.

Ambassador would be another possibility obviously

Matt Green poking fun at the Russia deniers and Jenrick.

It's nice to sense that this is very much a readguard action now. Every time a Reformed spokesperson pops up to deny it, just reminds us of the story all over again. You could call it a reverse Mandelson.

I am looking forward to some big guns starting to ask Nigel Farage if he has reviewed all donations since the UKIP days (through The Brexit Party) just to make sure he wasn't unwittingly accepting Russian money.

It's just a question, after all.

...but seriously folks.

Ideally ambassador should be an apolitical position. So former politicians are a little problematic.

We should rage, rage, rage against the fact that Trump dishes out ambassadorships to cronies. And also try to forget "The Mandelson Experiment" as quickly as possible.

Point taken. Probably not the best idea, following Mandelson. Although I think Starmer would do well in an international role.

I'm sure the UN would love to have him. Or NATO.

Thread title: Burnham - en attendant le Fonds Monetaire International.

With a gentle nod to Samuel Beckett.

Edited

Both those possibilities would suit him down to the ground, definitely.

I love the French thread title, very funny!

Can I say that as an Irish born person, I never understood Samuel Beckett, though he was a good looking man.

One of favourite books to read is The Dubliners by James Joyce.

Love the new title thread
