what are your thoughts on this whole debacle?
quite frankly I’m sick and tired of artists using concerts etc as some political forum

I'm disappointed that Ed had to be told by Robert Kraft to get rid of Macklemore. He should have dropped him after the first night.

I don’t see any issue with what Macklemore did. It’s very much on brand for him. I think it’s unfortunate that he has been dropped from the tour and that Ed has doubled down on his neutral approach.

I actually think that it’s good that artists use their platform for good. The more they do it, the more there is a chance that a positive change can be made (I hope!) I’ve blocked songs by Ed Sheeran on my Spotify.

I dont think concerts are the place for political opnions. Especially with a fan base like Ed Sheerans, what if opinions got heated in the crowd and younger fans were caught up in it?
If it was Macklemore headlining then that would be different, the crowd would be fans and would be aware of whether or not they agree with his politics, parents could choose whether to take children. I think Ed Sheeran was absolutely right here.

100%, although he should have acted before he was pushed. He is now catching heat from Macklemore stans and from everyone else.

True but it’s very strange I’ve never heard any artists slamming Hamas for prolonging the Palestinians suffering by refusing to release hostages/breaking ceasefires or the ongoing genocide in Sudan

I'm enjoying watching it all fall apart for Ed, who listened to the billionaire Robert Kraft.

So far 3 more acts have withdrawn from the American and Latin American legs of the tour.

Macklemore probably doesn’t understand what he’s talking about. ‘Free Palestine’ is a trendy sentence. 98% of the people saying it don’t understand the history.

Quite vile that Robert Kraft (who Netanyahu said "Israel does not have a more loyal friend that Robert Kraft) and is also mentioned in the Epstein files can shut down free speech like that. It's frightening really.

I don’t see why concerts shouldn’t be used to raise awareness, I’ve more of an issue towards the venues censoring the artists.

What confuses me more is that no one in ed sheeran's politically neutral camp expected this from Macklemore, this isn't a one off free Palestine jump on a woke bandwagon comment without really knowing the intricacies , his anti Semitism and public displays of it are akin to things I haven't seen since A level history

I just don't understand the cult of Gaza and how it's became the ultimate trend for the bored middle classes. This pretence that artists who support Gaza are 'so brave' is just ridiculous. They are clearly just jumping on the fashionable band wagon. And don't get me started on the Queers for Palestine!!

Entertainment, finance, tech, property, sport, politics, law, media, academia - Israel has been ruthlessly strategic in cultivating sympathetic political (NOT RELIGIOUS, I REPEAT, NOT RELIGIOUS) friends, not all of whom are Jewish, throughout every layer of American society, and America wanted it. So, America and everyone wanting to do business with it is now having to deal with that. What else is there to say.
