If you have a partner/DH, what’s the height difference?

I’m (cautiously) dipping my toe into OLD and as a bit of a titch (5:1), I am definitely attracted to ‘the taller the better’. I did once date someone who was 6:4 which presented a few logistical challenges but overall I loved it.

If you have a DP/DH, what’s your height difference? Does height matter to you?

Im 5:5. My partner is 5:10. I need a man taller. Hes really broad too which i love x

HussleMe · 08/09/2026 18:59

My partner is about 4 inches taller than me; it’s the least height difference I’ve ever had and it’s so nice! We can walk together easily and I don’t get a cricked neck kissing him 😁

IwanttoWFH · 08/09/2026 19:00

Yes, height matters to me. I’m 5’2” and my husband is 6’.

7 inches - 5’4 and 5’11 (him!)
Now height wouldn’t bother me as personality far more important, I didn’t feel that way when younger. Guess I’m no longer looking to reproduce!!

MirandaWest · 08/09/2026 19:01

I’m 5 foot 4 and he’s 6 foot 2. I find it fine but wouldn’t want him to be any taller I don’t think.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/09/2026 19:01

2 inches. I'm 5' 11" and he's 6' 1".

I dated smaller blokes before I met DH.

wheredidtheteago · 08/09/2026 19:01

I’m 4’11 and my partner is 5’8, height has never been an issue because most men tower over me even the ones on the shorter side! Anything over 6ft2 might start to feel a bit daft tbh, I remember not being able to comfortably hold hands with a partner over 6ft!

SwanUpmanship · 08/09/2026 19:02

4 inches, I'm the shorter (f) at 5'4.

Dillydollydingdong · 08/09/2026 19:03

I'm 5ft 5 and a half, and my dp is half an inch shorter. He's cute and cuddly and I wouldn't have it any other way 😍

Echobelly · 08/09/2026 19:05

I'm 5ft1, DH is 5ft 8 or 9 I think., so 7 or 8 inches

Jk987 · 08/09/2026 19:12

Me 5’7, him 6’2

I am 5ft 4 and DH is 6ft 1

DandelionSeeds · 08/09/2026 19:19

Half an inch - in my favour.
Shock the first time I kissed him, irrelevant now.
The kids are taller than us both.

Katalica · 08/09/2026 19:28

I’m 5’3” and DH is 6’.
Shortest man I dated was 5’7”.

My mate is 4’11” and her DH is 6’7”.
They do look cute together though.

MyGlassMenagerie · 08/09/2026 19:29

Me - 5’4
DH - 6’0

Similar I'm 5,4 DW 5 2..lots of wee people in Scotland

TheSmallAssassin · 08/09/2026 19:32

My husband is 5cm taller than me, he's slightly under average height for a man and I am above average height for a woman. I'm not particularly fussed, each subsequent boyfriend has been shorter than the last, but I do quite like there not being such of a difference between us, feels more balanced 😊

PinkWaffleMaker · 08/09/2026 19:33

There’s about 2 inches between us (I am tall)

Phloosie · 08/09/2026 19:33

5’2” and 5’9”.
I dated a lovely Dutch man who was 6’6” and that felt too weird. It was a pity because he was very nice otherwise but I was young and shallow.

Pumpkinsaregrowingnicely · 08/09/2026 19:34

5.4 and dh is 6.3.

BigBilly · 08/09/2026 19:34

Me 4ft 9"
My husband 5ft 10"
Perfect! ☺️

blankcanvas3 · 08/09/2026 19:35

I’m 5”1 and he’s 6”4. Didn’t choose him for his height, we met as teenagers and he would have been about 6ft the time.

ShrimpBoil · 08/09/2026 19:36

5 7 me to 5 10 him but we are both shrinking now (him faster than me) kids 5.5 (dd) and 6.3 (ds)

winklepickle · 08/09/2026 19:37

2 inches (I'm also tall). My short mother is obsessed with having a big height difference. The only dating advice she ever gave me was 'he must be taller than you in heels!'

Actually, mother, him not being an abusive shit is more important to me.
