What did you wake up to this morning?

I was woken by my 7 year old crying because his 12 year old brother said he would give him £6 if he licked his feet. Then refused to give him the £6 after the feet were licked.

For the record I have enforced the £6 debt in the hope it will teach the 12 year old not to make stupid bets with his brother. FML.

What nonsense have you woken up to this morning?

That's funny. Just neighbours scaffolding coming down and could I move my car. At 5am

My neighbour having a loud conversation with someone. They can’t close car doors slowly and quietly either. I did have the window open though

Woke to 29 degrees heat after the window was open all night. Fml.

i woke to the smell of burning electrical transformers at 12.45 am.....really weird!!
i went round the house but all good. i did have the windows open so someone nearby burning stuff maybe???

5am & a fucking mosquito buzzing near my ear. He is now dead.

The very distant hum of the major road about a mile away, air is very still so the noise carries when it’s like this, not been awake long.

Some very rude awakenings this morning. I should be grateful mine wasn’t too early.

I woke up to DSs 11 and 7 arguing over whether the curtains in their room should be open or closed 🙄 but then DH who had just come off a night shift brought me a coffee to drink in bed and took over. So a mixed bag really!

They will get quieter when the juveniles leave home. (Same as parents with teenagers)

5.30 and both dogs jumping on me and licking my eyes so that I’d open them. It was as gross as it sounds but dogs ultra excited I was downstairs as far too hot upstairs last night.

Bin men that should have come yesterday turned up around 5am

My cat decided to make biscuits on my head at 6am.

Ds 11 brought us bacon and egg muffins in bed at 8.30. And he left the kitchen tidy! I'm thinking he's robbed a bank...

Sid and Nancy having loud, chaotic sex in the garden. Again. 🙄

They’re wood pigeons. Wood pigeon sex is loud and messy. There are feathers everywhere!

Children screaming (not mine, I don’t have children yet) as per usual in a flat block, birds on my windowsill, and someone’s car alarm going off. Love the estate me 😂😂😂

Someone's dog barking non stop at 6am and not being taken in. Same as every morning 🙄

dh getting up to do an online meeting the other side of the world. Kids all in bed because we all stayed up too late. Loving it because I never have a weekend off!!

My 1 year old crawling on top of me (we cosleep). Best way to wake up ❤️
