Terrifying to think he has young dc. If this is a mental health episode he could have harmed them too. Did anyone see the livestream?

Rumpledandcrumpled · 05/08/2026 08:35

I really think that’s not ok, he clearly was not a threat to others, or his children.

as much as I think it’s something to be discussed, this is so unacceptable,

JacknDiane · 05/08/2026 08:43

What happened?

Poppycorn123 · 05/08/2026 08:43

How do you know he wasn't a threat to them? He sliced himself up live to millions. That is extremely psychotic behaviour. Look at all the awful murder suicide stories at the moment. Even if not deliberate, had the children been there he could easily have cut them too.

What on earth do you mean.

Poppycorn123 · 05/08/2026 08:47

Apologies, I should have added a link to the op.
Ive seen photos and they are really horrific.

Well yes, but the same goes for anyone with children who has a severe mental health episode. Luckily they weren't there to witness this. Horrific.

Nobody should risk their own mental health by watching this video.

Gowlett · 05/08/2026 08:53

I don’t want to watch it, I don’t think others should. We have reached full circle with celeb vulture culture. Perez was there at the beginning of the Internet gossip world, he more or less invented the game. I think he has seen & done it all… Britney was 20 years ago, we all watched it. Now, look at Ariana. And the way Meghan is treated. Cancel culture. Videoing everything. Even him live-streaming this. We just need to stop!

seawitchandgarden2 · 05/08/2026 08:56

Your thread really is in poor taste OP.

No one with a basic amount of decency should seek and watch a video of that live stream if it is still available.

The poor man is obviously in a very distressed mental state and is now under medical care and no member of his family, or anyone else, were harmed during the incident.

Have a bit of respect.

I actually came across the video by accident when scrolling and I didn’t know what it was, but even not knowing what it was I couldn’t watch it and scrolled on, I was thinking what the hell is this. Finding out it was real is horrific the video is horrific

Amandatelly · 05/08/2026 09:06

I saw it posted by a Facebook group mostly of americans that I'm on so clicked a link which had 2 videos. I watched about 20 seconds of the first video then stopped and closed it.

It was pretty horrific and disturbing.

I understand his children were not present in the property. I have also read that a custody case this week went against him. I don't know what true, and honestly I've always actively disliked PH, but as a human being, you do not want to see anyone in that place mentally.

Poppycorn123 · 05/08/2026 09:08

I didnt seek to watch it, I haven't actually seen the video. I saw a photo in the comments & that was awful enough. I was more wondering what time of day it was when it happened as he's in the US. And where were his kids, he is a single parent by choice. Scary to think. Imagine people watching it live must have been in complete shock. Going about their day/evening and seeing that.

I read his house was empty apart from him, so i guess they are safe. I don't have tik tok.but an American FB friend was talking about it, i think he has a history of MH problems which is a shame.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 05/08/2026 09:17

How on earth was it allowed to be on Tik Tok for half an hour??

MrsTomRipley · 05/08/2026 09:21

I don't know why people are blaming the OP for the actions of a man. She has not encouraged anyone to watch the video. It is also a major news story.

And yet you shared the link for others to watch?

MrsTomRipley · 05/08/2026 09:24

The link is to the story - NOT the video

The link isn't the video, it's a new article outlining the story. I think maybe people are getting confused thinking @Poppycorn123 has posted a video of the self harm, she hasn't at all.

35965a · 05/08/2026 09:26

Awful. I read reports stating he suffered with sepsis months ago. It can cause brain problems afterwards, things like hallucinations, psychosis etc.

cantsleepneedsleep · 05/08/2026 09:30

@mummydoris2006apologies that’s what I assumed as I didn’t click on the link.

Live streaming is engagement tik tok is the absolute pitts and don't care , i think they need a percentage of reports before they take videos down, people will have been watching in horror but maybe still watching out concern or just for "the drama" because they are so desensitised.

There was no custody case that is publicly reported on, it seems this is a rumour started as a result of the incident that someone online used to try and explain his actions. He has full custody of his 3 children and is their only legal parent.

wishingonastar101 · 05/08/2026 09:40

I worked in the media when Perez made it big (2008? Lindsay Lohan / Britney era) It was well known he was very unwell and very unpleasant.

Oh he was a horrible person, he seemed to redeem himself a bit in his "comeback" but i think you are right his mental health wasn't always stable.

So in effect you could watch someone end their life (or someone else’s) if not enough people reported - absolutely chilling
