Terrifying to think he has young dc. If this is a mental health episode he could have harmed them too. Did anyone see the livestream?

I mean she has clearly seen it she has the video loaded up on the screenshot on her post.

Just because you’ve interpreted one way and other people have a different way.

Lots of speculation online about how the knife wasn’t actually cutting as no new fresh wounds were being made and that he was licking the knife.

No that screenshot is all over social media, I could clip it a thousand times now from twitter. It means nothing.

and it was cutting, it was horrifying cutting, a man was attempting to commit suicide.

I honestly can't fathom why any of you have chosen to watch the footage. Arguing about who has 'understood' it the most; it's sickening. There's no place on the moral high ground for any of you.

I see his family have released a statement, asking for his privacy to be respected. Not even a small acknowledgement in the statement of the trauma/harm inflicted on people who unwittingly scrolled and were presented with his live. It mustn't be normalised, approached as just another instance of someone famous enduring a public mental health meltdown. This was on a different level, and I hope once he has received treatment he opts to live his life out of the public eye.

because there are people accusing this man of being performative. Slagging him off attacking him, saying it’s justified as he was poisonous to others,

if you don’t have the stomach to watch it, then judging it as something it wasn’t, is all shades of wrong.

the only people normalising it are those who are saying it was performative. The point being made is there is no conceivable way that’s correct. Not one.

and attack the people who are calling a man mid suicide performative. That’s who you should take issue with not the people trying to stop them,

The images are shocking for sure. He’s not really a sympathetic character, though. I can’t get too worked up about it.

And also, of course he might be a risk to children. A man in that state might be a risk to anyone, for that matter. Nobody here would think it safe to leave a child with a madman drenched in blood and slicing every inch of his body. Be real.

None of you have any idea of what it was, whether it be performative or otherwise. You, like the others who chose to watch it, have drawn your own conclusion. There is nothing more here than opinion (the word performative is at least valid to some degree, given he live streamed what he was doing).

Personally I don't have any desire to understand why he opted to live stream. I don't think it's relevant to anyone other than himself. My hope would be that if/when he reaches an understanding of the horrific gravity and potential effect of the live stream, he opts to stay off media. I think it would be incredibly irresponsible for him, or anyone else, to attempt to 'explain' that element of it.

It was streamed live in front of an audience that he was interacting with while licking a bread knife and rubbing himself.
If the suggestion of performance offends you then perhaps let’s just observe that it wasn’t a private act.

There are no references to attempted suicide in any reports, they all reference self harm which is exactly what he was doing.

You have no more idea than anybody else about his intent and yet you seem to be very upset that people don’t share your opinion.

I think you either need to seek help or get a life. Your posts are reading as positively salivating over this horror show. His children were not at his home at the time . He deserves the same access to acute mental health support as anyone else. Step away from it and stop exciting yourself over it … it’s really rather gross you’ve excited yourself so much.

What are you talking about? I'm concerned about what his children may have seen previously. And that they could have also been victims had he had an episode around them..they only have one parent..him. It is clearly psychosis, not just self harming. Nobody is excited about it. Get a grip.

You do seem to be salivating over the impact on his children, to be fair. Even though it's been pointed out that they weren't there.

Wherethedogsits · 05/08/2026 21:09

This isn't just self harming though, it's psychosis. He is capable of anything in that state of mind.

Might be a good time to learn more about psychosis (if that’s what he is experiencing).

Psychosis presents differently for everyone. You could be in a relationship with someone, work with someone every day, speak to someone in a shop and not know that they are experiencing psychosis.

What on earth are you talking about. He clearly states it in the video, if he was doing what you said, it certainly wasn’t part of rhe video I saw.

nope right post

Many of us didn't choose to, and didn't seek out the video.

Also, some posters are saying it wasn't a suicide attempt, when he literally said that it was - and he wanted the police to shoot him. That's just pointing out what factually happened - it's nothing to do with moral high ground etc.

And finally, I'm sure if this had been someone in my family, I'd be surprised if I could even release a statement at all at this stage, far less being apologetic about it

Minasama · 05/08/2026 21:55

All I have seen is the headline and I cannot abide this selfish, malicious and egotistical behaviour.

I appreciate that self harm is not the red flag it would have been when we were young and noone had heard of it, so it was something only severely mentally ill people did. Now it’s part of the checklist for the angst-ridden teen seemingly. But to live stream this when biddable young people are watching so that they copy him is reprehensible and TikTok should immediately have removed this content.

Again, if you haven't seen it, you can't minimise it as "self harm", and can't for a second argue that he deliberately and consciously streamed it.

How mature. Edited to say, the response you would expect from someone who has no defence. You wanted to whip up more hysteria about a horrible situation and no one has taken you up on it.

Dollymylove · 05/08/2026 11:17

So he was having "mental health" episode and thought "hey, why dont I live stream it"?
Seriously? Is there nothing some folk wouldnt do for attention?

Serious lack of emotional intelligence from this poster.

Ma’am, people say a lot of things that they don’t mean when they’re in a break.
He had the means.
He’s now in hospital.

You work it out.

Nobody needs to work anything out if they'd read the posts.

I worked in the media when Perez made it big (2008? Lindsay Lohan / Britney era) It was well known he was very unwell and very unpleasant.

He was obsessed with Paris Hilton to the extent that he actually changed his name to mimic hers.

Verv · 06/08/2026 00:41

People in the middle of significant MH crises say things.
Some say they want to end it or want others to end it for them in that moment.
Others will claim that next doors cat is satan and that the government has been bugging them.

He also said he was a parasite loser and F you Tiktok but as Ive said multiple times, he’s clearly unwell.

But he had over half an hour with a knife and nobody stopping him.
If you want to interpret that as a failed suicide attempt - do so, but I don’t have to.

He didn’t spend half an hour with an knife, it was the last few mins when it escalated, and there was no butter knife, it was a large kitchen knife and a Stanley knife.

im starting to think you’ve been reading the trolls on the cess pit thay is twitter, rushing over here and posting it like it’s true. As it is just nonsense you’re posting.

which is really dismaying considering the seriousness of the subject matter.

notacooldad · 06/08/2026 08:30

The poor man is obviously in a very distressed mental state and is now under medical care and no member of his family, or anyone else, were harmed during the incident.

The 'poor man' is a piece of shit who loved damaging the mental health of young women in the 2000/2010s.

I know he pledged to be kinder but he targeted young women and publicly humiliated them. This was only for damage control and the tide was turning against him It wasnt a one off comment,it was years of public trolling and he made a career if it. Nasty mygonsist creature.
Im not saying I want him harmed but im not rolling in sympathy for him and buting ' the poor man' line.

As Rumpled said, he had only a few minutes with the knife and Stanley thing. A few minutes.
The situation was escalating when the police arrived. The police were seemingly there for four hours.

@Rumpledandcrumpled I've seen people mention a butter knife too, as if to minimise what he did, and using it as an explanation as to why they don't even believe he was cutting himself. But I'm assuming that someone mentioned a bread knife, and that's got changed or lost in translation somewhere.
