Just that, really? Surely this would be the the right opportunity to actively campaign for something to be done about the climate change/ convert all non-believers? Where are these protesters, especially Saint Greta? Why they all gone quiet?

She has spoken about wildfires many times in the past highlighting the link between them and the climate crisis.

Can I explain advertising platforms to you? Your algorithm is showing you what keeps you engaged for as long as possible, so as to sell more advertising. Humans are very reactive to bad news and danger. Or rage bait. When the platforms found that Greta enraged people, her content was promoted. Lately far right and climate denying content is more 'successful'. It does depend a bit on the platform and how ruthless you are managing the algorithm. And if you had shown no interest at all in politics you'd be seeing something else, like celebrities or gossip in your feeds.

She could have made difference if she continued. By abandoning her seeming passion for whatever she is doing now she discredited her own work completely.

When she was a kid passionate about climate change - well, I dont think that was ridiculous? She could have grown on that, studied, became a voice of reason, Instead, she is not part of the generic rent a mob occupied at every protest going. She is definitely has zero credibility now.

Last I heard of her she was caught by Israel on some boat trying to deliver aid to her latest cause. Just stop oil must have also moved onto the free Palestine bandwagon, either that or fallen off the face of the earth completely (personally prefer the second option).

So you became aware of Greta as she protested climate change. She was broadly ignored. Events occur highlighting why she was indeed concerned. And you're asking why she is not still out banging the drum?

I read on somewhere that Greta and other protesters like her are doing what they are paid for. I dont really believe that but, tbh, I can see why some people might think that.

When Europe is dealing with record heat and wildfires, that's usually the moment climate activists would argue they're being proved right, not the moment they'd have nothing to say. The fact you're talking about it suggests the issue is getting attention.

Just Stop Oil announced last year that they were ending their campaign after its main demand was adopted by UK government policy.
