Just that, really? Surely this would be the the right opportunity to actively campaign for something to be done about the climate change/ convert all non-believers? Where are these protesters, especially Saint Greta? Why they all gone quiet?

Greta is tackling the environmental and human crisis of the wars in the Middle East. Which is causing far more death and planetary damage (including global warming) than the wildfires.

Um, the discharge of millions of tons of explosives directly worsens the climate crisis. Each year of the Gaza war has added 33 million tonnes on top of usual emissions.

To put this in perspective, this is like adding 5 million more people to the population of Israel and all the emissions they’d create.

This does not include all the other conflicts that are interlinked- Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Yemen. If we add that in too, it’s even more emissions.

This also doesn’t count the other pollution caused by war which are equally significant.

Was that before or after the suffragettes were engaging in letter bombing?

Because I care aobut lack of action from the (formally) powerful climate change complainers when we have a massive disaster in Europe.

But but the fires were set by human arson or negligence…how is that climate change? The Spanish firefighting is shit because governments there have privatised it and then frozen wages since 2008….how is that climate change?

Just guessing here, but perhaps the powerful climate change protesters have actually read the news and know a bit about why these fires started and that it’s not climate change that caused them.

Activists do free work most of the time.

She’s done her job. She’s made us aware of climate change.

I actually do my part to spread awareness in my local community, not through that kind of activism, but through community activities and finding guilt free ways to talk about it whilst also teaching skills.

Mu question is, is there anything you can do to spread the word and get some action going?

there is only so much we can do as people, the big guys need to make big decisions for us to see change - but they care too much about profit.
