What are your best M&S Food recommendations to try?

There’s a thread going about must-buy foods from Waitrose and I have enjoyed trying all the delicious recommendations!

I thought I would start a similar one for M&S Food, as I’m sure I’m missing out on lots of good stuff.

My contribution: the Somerset butter with maple syrup in. It’s absolute heaven on a toasted bagel!

Also, they do a strawberry and banana, and a mango and peach yoghurt, which don’t have any added sugar or junk. They come in individual pouches and small pots so perfect for a toddler/child. I am yet to find any other fruity yoghurts on the market without any added sugar, even those aimed towards children.

Chocolate Swiss roll made with fresh cream in chiller cabinet.

The sesame soy prawn grains shake a pot is lush (I like savoury stuff!)

MrSchubertWhiskers · Today 18:09

Creamy ceasar dressing

I like their bread - unsliced white and wholemeal loaves which have "you deserve butter" on the wrapper.

There is a nice apple and ginger pressed juice.

The super nutty wholefood salad.

Ice cream bars - caramel or coconut. They are smallish choc ice size but have proper thick chocolate. But hella expensive! We have them for a treat.

I’m on my own and I’ve recently tried some of their ready meals for one. I really enjoyed the lasagna and the spaghetti with meatballs.

friggingnora · Today 18:19

The nutty super whole food salad is divine.
Ditto smoked cheddar and balsamic onion cheddar.

I made pizzas last night with their ready made sourdough pizza dough. They were delicious. Will definitely buy again. Just topped with passata, torn mozzarella and fresh basil. In fact, it was my 14 year old son who made them whilst I coached him through. Huge success.

The green goddess dip in the fresh section is really delicious on a crisp salad. I love it.

JumpLeadsForTwo · Today 18:38

The coconut ‘real treat’ bar is really lovely. They used to do a tuna and butter bean salad bowl which was amazing but haven’t seen it for a while

devildeepbluesea · Today 18:39

Another fan of the super nutty whole food salad. I’m poor and rarely buy food at M&S, but I will buy this. I also have some reward £££ to spend so following with interest

Mushroom pappardelle ready meal (but not the mushroom risotto, it is claggy and salty).
The prepared stir fry vegetable packs.
Individual cheesecake slices.
Gluten free flatbreads. Their gf oaty loaf is ok, too.
Chocolate discs in a tube.
Porridge oats.

The Tom Kerridge Cookie dough! Omg delicious. Unfortunately we’ve moved away and there is no local M&S. Mum has to bring it every time she comes round

The digestive biscuits are the only ones I’ve found that are almost as good as McVities.

Their fruit and veg is on a par with Waitrose.

Chocolate and pistachio dip.

Morello cherry and almond tart.

Extra virgin olive oil crisps with black truffle.

Ereshkigalangcleg · Today 19:14

They have a lovely chilli paneer, and mini dosas, the rhubarb tunnocks style teacakes are delicious and I love their fresh cream fruit yogurts with live cultures. There are so many things I like in M&S.

NormasArse · Today 19:15

Supergreen salad 👌

NormasArse · Today 19:16

Oh, and the ripe avocados in the two pack are always spot on.

Forgottenmyphone · Today 19:17

Gigantic chocolate orange buttons, and cherry frozen yogurt

Immigreatorimminope · Today 19:18

Can’t believe nobody has yet said the 3 for £8 picky bits! I love the artichokes, the prawns, and the pickled cauliflower. DH loves the fuet but I’m not a fan.

WhitstablePearl · Today 19:20

This has come just at the right time! A massive M&S food hall opened on my town last weekend!

Motherofvoid · Today 19:23

The Mexican layered dip. All the loaded dips really but that's my favourite. The curried sweet potato and cauliflower soup.

Blingismything · Today 19:39

Sweet potato tortilla chips, cocktail nuts, almond croissants from the bakery, Pink Lady apple juice, all of their butters, beer battered haddock, strawberries and raspberries. Pretty much everything is well worth a try.

ForSerenePinkLemur · Today 19:54

The vodka pasta ready meal

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · Today 19:57

The cappuccino teacakes (the marshmallow filled sort).
