There’s a thread going about must-buy foods from Waitrose and I have enjoyed trying all the delicious recommendations!

I thought I would start a similar one for M&S Food, as I’m sure I’m missing out on lots of good stuff.

My contribution: the Somerset butter with maple syrup in. It’s absolute heaven on a toasted bagel!

The little pots of pretzels with salmon dip 😍
And the tomitillo and jalapeño sweet potato tortilla crisps dipped in the Mexican dip 😁

Serrano ham and manchego rollitos, their marmite and cheese sandwich, poppadoms, their £3 milk chocolate with orange. Their ready meal of sausages and mash I had yesterday wasn’t great, too much mash and sausages not the best.

All Butter Biscuits
Bourbons-cheaper than other supermarkets with more chocolate cream
Cumberland Pie-although they’ve upped the ratio of mash to filling and need to stop.
Raspberry Conserve-really sharp and fruity
Honey Roast Ham crisps
Date and chocolate bars
Rasperry and lemon limited edition cake- make it permanent please M and S!
Carrot Cake loaf-really moist with loads of cream cheese frosting
The Christmas Gingerbread bakery cookies
Rhubarb Juicy drinks- just juice and sparkling water. No sweeteners or sugar.
Any fresh fruit and their pots of dried berries and raisins are really good value.
Frozen croissants-again, really good value and they’re huge when cooked.
Another vote for the ketchup. Haven’t tried the fancy one in the glass jar yet!
Salted caramel sauce

Gastro pub steak pie and Gastro pub chicken, leek and smoked bacon pie, I’ve always avoided savoury pies due to usually disliking the pastry but the pastry on these is divine.

The Gastro pub chicken kievs are nicer than the local butcher has.
Thank you for the thread , I’m making a list!

I would have agreed with you about the two pies, I still do about the chicken, leek and bacon one. But I had the steak one a few months ago and the meat was so gristly and disgusting it’s put me off buying it ever again!

I just want to say, on the recommendation of this thread I got an Ocado delivery this morning where I picked out a lot of the things listed on this thread. I was really surprised by the long shelf life of most of the things that were delivered. I also got all my essentials from M&S which I wouldn’t normally do but it really wasn’t more expensive than my usual Sainsbury’s shop (when you take out the cone ends, burger sauce, Mexican layered dip etc which I wouldn’t normally get)

My kids who are infant school age have so far commented on - how creamy the hummus is, how nice and crisp the apples are, that they liked the ham in their sandwiches and they loved the yoghurts for breakfast.

So I’m pretty converted to be honest. And I didn’t have to pay for delivery which was a touch!

And the cone ends are in the fridge and have nearly gone already!!
Im about to have a bagel with New York deli cream cheese and smoked salmon…bliss!!

Many thanks to the poster(s) who mentioned the cheddar with balsamic onion. Picked it up yesterday and had some last night - it’s bloody delicious!

Another couple of recommendations from my shop yesterday:

Cheddar cheese flatbreads (long crackers) which I got to go with said cheese
Crunchy peanut ice cream bars

Also, on the back of this thread, I got a glass jar of their burger sauce, but not sure when I’ll try it as no burgers on this week’s meal planner.

Some great recommendations! I always just go for the sweet stuff and maybe the odd pizza. Really need to get a proper look at the savoury bits someday!
