All my t shirts and tops that are washed go scrunched up into a carrier bag so they DONT dry so that i have wet tops to wear. this is the ridiculousness i have to go to in this disgusting shithole.

I would absolutely be telling them to get stuffed if they said I had to put the heating on whilst my flat is/was sitting at 25 degrees+.....I hardly use the oven as it is currently., nevermind the heating!!

The rain we were expecting on Tues or wed isn't there any more ! What's happened ? I was hoping for at least one day rain to dsmpen down foliage /fire risk.

Remember the article i posted upthread about the tower block where they wouldnt let the SH tenants use the air con i thought it rang a bell. A resident posted a thread on here last year.

Does anyone else feel the saddest thing about it is....not having a summer? I normally love summer.

as one of my neighbours said, if you've got to stay in with the curtains drawn because it's too hot outside and the flats are boiling, then it might as well be winter!

I wish it was winter, blanket weather!

I have hated summer since I moved here so it’s just even worse than it usually is. That said, I think in some ways this relentlessness has (hopefully) made me slightly more tolerant of anything under 30 degrees!

But yeah, I’m an autumn/winter gal at heart.

With Halloween a close second! I think that’s because I grew up in the states and just have always loved it because it’s such a massive deal over there.

My niece is currently on holiday in the states visiting her girlfriend. Air con everywhere including all over the house

My dad still lives there and when I complain about the heat he gives the usual ‘ice cubes in a bowl in front of a fan’ type advice. Handily forgetting he’s lived with full aircon most of his life!
