wigan, got stuck in a one way system!

SqueakyFromme · Yesterday 22:50

I agree with that, I think it may be something to do with the drownings. Blackpool is horrible too.

SilenceInside · Yesterday 22:50

Recently, Blackpool. Really quite shocked by the deprivation if you went anywhere other than the seafront main tourist areas. Stayed there till evening thinking we might find somewhere for an evening meal but felt unsafe and decided to leave.

Blackpool, full of methheads, drunken asses and just unbelievably run down. Lots of people in the car park complaining to each other that their cars had been broken into!!

I went to blackpool with my kids from school recently. So during the school day on a normal tuesday.

I was very surprised at how many grown ups were playing on the 2p machines on their own at 1pm in the afternoon.

SqueakyFromme · Yesterday 22:53

Ha, I was there today and used to live there. I have to agree.

SunnySunnyDayz · Yesterday 22:54

What do you mean by worst? Unsafe, deprived, rude people, stupid prices?

I grew up in one of the most deprived towns in the country, wouldn't want to live there but the people are friendly and quality of life is quite good because of the money pumped into it.

PinkNBlueBunnies · Yesterday 22:54

I know this isn't in the same league as shit run down cities, but... Scafell Pike. We went in from Wasdale Head and I just got such a terrible sense of foreboding, I put up with it for about an hour then I had to leave. It just felt... malevolent? I've never felt like that outside of nightmares before. As soon as we got on the road again I started to feel better.
