What can you hear right now?

I made one of these threads a few months ago and really enjoyed reading everyone’s posts so I thought I’d do another.

I’ll go first.

The faint hum of traffic on the nearby road.
Birds tweeting.
The fish tank pump.
One of my neighbours chatting to the delivery driver bringing her shopping.
Myself, eating peanut M&Ms 😳

Train just gone past. It’s all a little subdued now as I live very near The Emirates and it’s been crazy all day (until they lost). Actually it’s just started up again and there are sirens. It’ll get louder later, then tomorrow will be chaos. The parade route encircles this flat. It’s usually surprisingly quiet here for London - a little oasis. I’m not an Arsenal supporter (Tottenham but keep that to yourself 😉).

The birds evening chorus and the kids playing table tennis in the garage (above the sound of me gently slurping wine).

Oh a snoring cat makes my heart melt! Have been known to film one of my cats when she snores (and obviously send it to people who surely must love it too?) 🤣

I can hear a couple kids chatting as they are walking by scuffing their feet on the pavement and slightly further away a woman talking. The fan I’ve got going to try and keep cool. The cat walking across the floor (Maine Coon he’s like an elephant). Me tapping on the phone. Oh hey cat number two has appeared she’s smaller and hardly makes a sound but she’s shaking her head and now a plane is going over (distant we aren’t in a flight path). Someone has just slammed a car door…

A very agitated wren chirping angrily at the cat.

Oh, and we're waiting to hear who won BGT. We know someone from the Hawkstone Farmers Choir 😊

My partner is in the kitchen making us a cup of tea so the kettle is on. Julia Roberts is talking in the movie Notting Hill (what a bitch she is in this!) and an Ocado van just drove past the house.

Brown noise and the dog snoring. I started playing brown noise at bedtime because my dog would start growling at every little noise when she was little, 7 years later and it's me that can't sleep without it.

i can hear some teenagers in a garden quite a few houses up. It’s not disruptive noise, they’re just laughing from time to time. Dh brushing his teeth along the hallway.
pretty soon I’ll also be able to hear our bedroom fan which will annoy me, the fan is my nemesis and I hate it 😂

The ringing in my ears.

Urgh, me too. High buzzing tinnitus in my deaf ear and a horrible motor rumble tinnitus in my hearing ear that is driving me mad. Hoping I'll be able to sleep tonight. I'm mostly ok with it but it's really bothering me recently and is louder.
