What can you hear right now?

I made one of these threads a few months ago and really enjoyed reading everyone’s posts so I thought I’d do another.

I’ll go first.

The faint hum of traffic on the nearby road.
Birds tweeting.
The fish tank pump.
One of my neighbours chatting to the delivery driver bringing her shopping.
Myself, eating peanut M&Ms 😳

Football on the tv downstairs
car going past
birds singing

My roosters. They’re very loud. And a distant hum probably from some farm equipment.

My fan rattling away.
Dog snoring.
The black cap nesting in the garden singing it's heart out.

A fly that can’t seem to find its way back out the open window

My DH saying good night to our pet parrot as though he’s his PFB.

Absolutely nothing. We've been away for a few days got back about an hour or so ago, DS is in bed, DH has gone to have a bath after a long drive, I've watered the plants, put a wash on and I'm now sitting down for a bit before starting dinner for DH and I.

The cat's stupid water fountain. It annoys me so much. But the cat loves it and dh says it's soothing. I keep switching it off and then either dh switches it back on or the cat sits and looks sadly at it until I do.

Mainly birdsong. We have loads of birds in our very overgrown nature-friendly garden and it’s lovely. But also a faint hum of traffic from the road that’s not too far away. And very occasionally a plane way, way overhead (we’re not a million miles from a major airport hub).

A Great Tit (Farage?), a robin, a chaffinch, an oriole, a blackbird, a greenfinch, a pigeon, a blackcap, the bees on the lavender and the bubbles in my glass. I’m addicted to Merlin (and Merlot, but not tonight)

Water feature outside the open bifolds. Baby birds (I think) chirruping above me. A neighbour's dog just started carrying on. Very faint hum of the M6! My dog licking his paws noisily. Pigeons just started cooing in the trees near the house.

Thunder

My TMJ as I try and eat some baguette with jam and butter

Peace as kids all asleep now and just the birds twittering away ahhhh and me slurping my tea

Snoring. DH has early starts at the moment so he’s already in bed.

Kids playing out a couple of streets away.

Traffic on the main road.

Tinnitus

Pheasants and the occasional ewes and lambs. a bit of birdsong, plus the hum of my laptop. Other than that, it's all quiet around here!
