What is something you do even though you know it isn’t good for you?

Sunbathing/not avoiding the sun. I’ve been an outdoors/beach person my whole life. I love nothing more than a hot sunny day outside, swimming, hiking, day at the beach. I don’t want to cover up and hide away from the sun. I don’t want a big hat and sitting in the shade.

I know I have and will continue to age quicker. I know the risk of skin cancer is higher. But on this one I don’t care, the quality of my life is more important to me.

So what are yours?

Drinking. I know it's literal poison. I've cut down a lot. But I still love a glass of red by the fire or some bubbles in the sun.

Having had three procedures during the last year, for potential skin cancers, I won’t ever sunbathe and any exposed skin will be slathered in factor 50.

Snacking on unhealthy food. I eat really healthy meals cooked from scratch and enjoy healthy meals but I also love crisps, cake and nuts! 😅

Like you, sunbathing. It’s been beautiful all day and my pastey skins needs some rays. I love closing my eyes and feeling my face getting hot.

As for me, I'm a size 16, I still smoke, and I drink too much.

Oh I LOVED smoking but stopped. Still walk past a smoker and take a deep breath. If it wouldn't kill me I would start again tomorrow.

Waitrose chocolate chip cookies. The big ones in packets of 8. Oh my days, I can ruin any day of healthy eating with them.

Smoking/vaping. I quit smoking cigarettes and moved to vapes for three years then started again a few months ago. I still vape too. I will quit smoking again before the end of the year but honestly, I love it. A part of me thinks fuck it, just smoke guilt free. I don't drink, I'm active (despite having M.E), I eat healthy and the six people I knew that have died from lung cancer had never smoked in their life!

Eat processed convenience foods. It's so much easier, I don't want to cook from scratch and I like the taste of them.
