You know quite a bit about rugby and I know nothing 😆 🤣. Well, apart from the big burly men covered in muck, 😆 🤣.

How old are you? Ive always wanted a sister...you could be my sister 😂🥰

47 - I am guessing I would be your big sister?! Would love to be however!

Oh I know loads - I used to play - it's in my veins now... love it just as much only far fewer broken bones these days!

2ndcarowner · 19/04/2026 21:23

I like classical music, according to my colleagues it’s ’too posh’ whatever that means.

asdbaybeeee · 19/04/2026 21:25

Sitting a reading a paperback book
laying in bed with nothing to do

Echobelly · 19/04/2026 21:28

Reading poetry

ThatWaryLimePeer · 19/04/2026 21:28

Ohhh I love a good walk, some great wee walks not far from me i always make sure to do in the good weather. Not had that yet here 🥲

BatchCookBabe · 19/04/2026 21:32

I enjoy..........

Going for long walks and day trips, on my own. (With others too, but on my own just as much as with people....)

Sitting in the garden reading a book or magazine - and also being in the garden 'doing gardening.'

Talking to my neighbours!

Walking along the beach, as the sea is coming in and feeling the waves lap over my feet. And just sitting on the beach. (The last thread that is the opposite of this one, some people said they hate the beach.)

I used to enjoy being with my children when they were little/growing up/at home. And I really LOVED the school holidays. I know that's a bizarre concept to some Mumsnetters (who seem to actively dislike their own children.)

ThomasinaTrot · 19/04/2026 21:34

Small admin jobs like doing a price comparison for car insurance. So satisfying.

Surely classical music is pretty popular?

Gliblet · 19/04/2026 21:34

Speaking in front of large groups of people - gives a lot of people the heebie jeebies but I deliver a lot of training and love seeing people go from apathetic, to engaged, to having some kind of lightbulb learning moment during a session.

Oh, and very unMN-ily of me, opening my front door to find out who's on the other side of it instead of glaring suspiciously at the privacy glass then hiding in the hall cupboard and posting in outrage on the Internet about strangers ringing people's doorbells, asking a bunch of randoms on here what the mystery caller must have wanted...

Crysteltipupyoyrbumhole · 19/04/2026 21:36

Camping! With all the kids,( 5 of them) on a site that’s not much more than a field with a shower block and toilets! ( we do have electric hookups though)
Camping in the rain
Camping in a storm
Camping in this country
Bloody love Camping

Monolithique · 19/04/2026 21:38

Going to the tip. I like the car journey there and back where I can listen to the radio on whatever channel I like.

long distance flights. I love it. It’s like life is suspended for the 10 hours or whatever. I can watch films. And have drinks bought me. And read. And no one can get to me and I can’t solve anyone’s problems from mid air. I like it better than the holiday itself sometimes.

Me too. But only day ones. Night ones are just too tiring and uncomfortable, unless I am in at least premium economy and in an aisle seat.

I like the waiting at airports too but only if I am on my own and can do whatever I like whenever i like. I love looking up at the board at all the exotic destinations and feeling the excitement and slight nervousness about going somewhere new and very different to home.

I love doing absolutely nothing. Sometimes for hours

Chewing ice. I sometimes fill an entire pint glass with ice and take it to bed. Chewing and crunching my way through all of it . Only when dh is not there of course though

I like offal, brussels sprouts and anchovies,

BatchCookBabe · 19/04/2026 21:41

Ooooooooh, I love Brussels Sprouts too!

ShakyBake · 19/04/2026 21:43

Cheap, Soft, Supermarket Pillows.

I have a good bed and mattress and have tried a variety of pillows and I am completely certain, for me, expensive pillows are a load of rubbish. I replace my pillows often (2 months) with supermarket ones and find them the most comfortable.

How anyone can say the feeling of feather or anything memory foam (for head) is superior is beyond me.

user1492538376 · 19/04/2026 21:43

Running (not all the time)
The Rain
Winter and dark nights
Reading/watching the news

Noseylittlemoo · 19/04/2026 21:46

Oh I thought of another one! I like watching cricket , I don't mind any format. As well as the unpredictability of the game I enjoy the scoring and working out the run rates required etc.
My husband enjoys watching pretty much any sport. He thought I would enjoy the numbers in snooker so I wrote down the rules in a notebook so I don't keep asking the same questions!

I would pay someone to loan me a child to read stories to.

You should volunteer in a primary school

Meadowfinch · 19/04/2026 21:48

Mowing the lawn.

Good thinking time, walking up and down, in the fresh air, and I can't hear the phone or anyone asking me for anything. 😊

MerelyPlaying · 19/04/2026 21:51

Exams. Not that I am ever likely to do any more.
and public speaking - I love it.

Perfect age gap! Yeah wasn't good enough to get beyond university levels though and now when I watch it I don't always get the referee calls exactly right. Only sport I was halfway good at, if you don't count the egg and spoon race in primary - just went hell for leather and didn't really care if the egg broke!

Oh walking is ace, I live near the Gower and it's made for walking or doing a Kate Bush dance across! We've equally have semi-good weather - you get dressed, ready to go out and open the front door and... torrential stair rods!

MovedlikeHarlowinMonteCarlo · 19/04/2026 20:37

Doing nothing.

I was reading a recent thread and people were saying it was lazy just sitting and chilling. I love it.

It's NOT lazy....it's so important for mental health (especially if you're introverts like myself)

TubeScreamer · 19/04/2026 21:58

Silence
exams
bell ringing
Thinking

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 19/04/2026 21:58

Cleaning the inside of the dishwasher, where it’s got the screw in bit where waste gets stuck inside. Scraping through hairbrushes which have goo stuck to them then soaking snd washing.

I have JOMO - the joy of missing out. Every time someone on here posts about feeling sad because they weren’t invited to a wedding, a party, or a weekend away with friends I’m thinking, ‘Cor, that would be brilliant’. Not having to go to your brother in laws wedding, or mad Aunty Marge’s Country Dancing Birthday Hoedown in the function room at the bowling club in Milton Keynes, or pole dancing lessons at a hen weekend in Ibiza is my idea of heaven.

Lol, yes here too and you put it beautifully! For all the rubbish that was covid, I liked lockdown, couldn't go to things I would normally be obliged to go to. It was a slither of a silver lining.
