Definitely worse still to come. I read elsewhere that the tax tax is expected to reach approx 40% by 2030. The Guardian missed that bit out I see.

Good think we have a genius economist in the treasury, and a hugely talented 'decent' PM, to provide 'stability' as we weather the storm.

The Resolution Foundation is urging Reeves to raise taxes to cover the black hole in her fiscal plans caused by the war in Iran.

I wouldn't put it past her.

I wish Kemi had simply asked Starmer why he sacked Olly Robinson today in PMQs.

He would have blathered on about judgement and process.

Then she could have asked which was a worse error of judgement- making an error in procedure, or selecting Peter Mandelson in the first place.

The wrong man has list his job.

Why are people lauding ‘Olly’ as a hero? He is a time serving civil servant who lapped up the rewards (and s knighthood!!!!) for doing nothing. Now the light has been let in on how pointless they are, I hope more of them get sacked.
