US strikes Iran

In conjunction with Israel.
Why? Starting wars has never ever ended well for the US, or for the country they are trying to 'help.'

I do agree that Iran's rulers and top army need to be put in prison and an end to what they have become. But this does not sound like a good idea to me. I think the movement needs to be from within Iran, led by them, with who they want to be ruled by. This of naming the Sha's son does not strike me as any solution. And nothing will work in Iran till the army itself raises against their top leader and the Revolutionary guards with him. Which, I expect to be rather close, as they have attacked their own people, and that is the ultimate sin before a civil war.
What I think will happen is that Israel and US will bomb Iran for a few days. Iran will bomb Israel and US bases, close the transit of crudein retaliation. US may bomb nuclear sites, again, with wich I do not agree. The risk of radiactive material been blown around is just too much. And then.... back to nothing.
If Iran was ready to pound on their leaders, they would have done it during the protests crackdown.
And getting into an actual full on war with Iran will cost Trump all MAGA support.
It will, yet again, cost Europe a rise in oil prices and all prices. It will stir up China and Russia. Particularly China.
And I hope Starmer says we are not sending a single soldier to this.

They tried, and they got massacred and tortured in their tens of thousands. They've been begging Trump for exactly this for months.
Trump has also stated that he's created the conditions for the Iranians to overthrow the IRGC now, so it will be them.

Great....just what the world needed right now. Oil prices will shoot up now.

I imagine there are bigger issues on the mind of the Iranian people, like freedom from the oppressive regime, rather than the price of oil.

Let's wait and see if this is the final push.
Me, personally, have zero trust on Trump. Zero.

I trust Trump to do whats best for Trump.

I hope whats best for Trump will also be significantly better for Iranians than yhe current regime.

If those interests align then this can be a good thing?

I think you are well over trusting, but let's wait and see what ends up happening.

Such a bad news to hear.

Unless you are an Iranian praying for the demise of the regime, they are cheering it on.

The war mongering paedophiles that brought you genocide in Gaza and the most scandalous files of abuse in history are now embroiling the world in a war to distract you in the name of “preserving freedom.” Within hours of Oman's Foreign Minister saying "Iran agreed to zero enriched uranium stockpiling", Israel immediately bombs Tehran & the US promptly joins- it was NEVER about nuclear weapons

ChipsandCheesewithGravy · 28/02/2026 13:40

I'm sure it's nothing about distracting people from the Epstein files! Hmm.

It's their Modus Operandi,
Remember Assange's famous quote from 2011 about "Endless War" :

"The goal is an endless war, not a successful war".

There is nothing altruistic about these conflicts, they usually act as a mechanism to control resources, "launder money from the tax bases of the United States and European countries" and funnel it back to a "transnational security elite".

The idea of attacking a Shia country, during Ramadan (whilst people are fasting) weeks after a lot of elites were exposed in the Epstein releases as being nothing short of all types of demonic torturers is interesting.

No Britain needs to stay out of it.

Should we have stayed out of it when Nazi Germany was operating? And I’ll also remind you we aren’t currently in it - to our shame

MarshaMarshaMarsha · 28/02/2026 13:55

Footage of missiles falling in residential areas having been intercepted is very frightening. Thoughts with all innocent people in the region, must be so scary to experience.

I don’t think most Iranians give a shit about Ramadan. They’re too busy being beaten and raped by police or shot at protests against the Islamic regime.
It doesnt really matter WHY the US are doing this. What matters is the outcome.

Of course it matters why they are doing it, you just won’t realise until it’s too late. Netanyahu does not care one little bit for the people of Iran. And yes they always attack during Ramadan.

The Pakistanis and Afghanis have no such "It's Ramadan" qualms before having a barney.

If you want a freedom war to fight there’s one available on Europe’s own borders right now.

FloralDeerPattern · 28/02/2026 14:07

I saw a video by Metro news saying that at least 40 girls have been killed in an air strike on a girls school in southern Iran.

I seem to recall (I'm a bit old) certain nations having no qualms about launching a surprise attack during Yom Kippur....so excuse me if I'm not entirely sympathetic to that line of thought.

38thparallel · 28/02/2026 14:14

I am very concerned about anything being impossed on them.

@MushMonster were you concerned about the brutal and repressive regime that has been imposed on them since 1979?

onyxtulip · 28/02/2026 14:16

My husband and his family are Iranian. They escaped to the UK as political refugees in the 1990s. The current Iranian Regime is murdering tens of thousands of its own civilians. Despite having family still in Iran, my husband and his family are glad that the USA and Israel (as awful as Trump and Netanyahu are) are doing this because it gives the Iranian people a chance to be liberated from their oppressors. These things aren't straight forward- worth reading about before you declare its wrong or about oil or whatever else. This is widely considered the lesser of two evils amongst Iranians.
