Just horrendous. There was a big Jewish gathering on the beach. Jewish festival goers targeted by two gunmen. At least ten people dead according to police.

Absolutely agree. It’s utterly shameful how this thread descended into whataboutery. It sounds far too much like justification. Other threads can be started to thrash out the politics and history and blaming and defending.

I'm muslim and get tired of the growing Islamophobia not just on here but society in general. Bigots and Islamophobes are continually criticising our religion but we have to educate ignorant people.

Many non muslims say we want gay people jailed which is a lie as at least half of our community are tolerant to gay individuals. Many say Islam is misogynistic where men control us but only 39% think we should always obey our husbands ( although my husband has differing views as he is old fashioned) so another lie.

People say we support terrorism yet only a small percentage 34% (less than 1.5 million in the Uk) would fail to tell police if there was a terrorist amongst us with. Please stop the Islamophobia and realise most of us are peaceful. Religion has nothing to do with terrorism and we must stop looking at it through the lense of bigotry

More than one in three Muslims in the UK WOULDN'T tell police there was a terrorist and you think that's a small percentage and the problem is "bigotry"?
That's a horrifyingly high figure, I honestly had no idea things were that bad.
