Disgusting suggestion from DH - does anyone else actually do this?

He suggested I microwave a cup of tea out of a luke warm pot. Does anyone do this? I do not and never will.

This one literally stinks of a bot post.
Pointless bollocks for the gin-tired human bored and other bots alike.

ThatOneStupidPheasant · 26/10/2025 22:09

Then again, it takes the pages so long to load due to the bandwidth chugging tumult of cheap ads that I suspect even the bots are struggling to keep up these days.

Don't have a microwavey, so no.

YABU for that title though.

This really is the only suitable response to that post title!

Always swore I’d never microwave tea. Then I had children…

JillyJoy · 27/10/2025 07:26

I just found a mug of tea in my microwave from yesterday.

I have a friend who went back to instant when she had twins....she was a bit of a coffee snob 25 years ago.

One day I called and she had bought a new Espresso city and was weak for the delicious pod coffee after years of crap coffee.

I bought one the following week it was so convenient.
Lost interest in it some years ago as the pod guilt got too much.
Back to the plunger coffee pot, which I occasionally do heat in the microwave even though the children are grown up.

Yawn.....

I reheat my hot drinks often

Giddykiddy · 27/10/2025 10:52

Disappointed it wasn't a weird and wonderful sex act!

Get an insulating mug or teapot instead - they keep drinks warm for ages.

I'm not sure if it isn't cheaper to make a fresh brew than to microwave a cold one. Plus microwaving drinks isn't safe.
I drink instant coffee, weak and black. A 200g jar is £1.99 (Lidl).

GoodQueenBess · 27/10/2025 11:07

Insulated not insulating.

pollymere · 27/10/2025 11:29

I'm happy doing this with coffee but it ruins tea. Just make it fresh.

And YANBU... That's one of the most disgusting suggestions I've ever heard someone's DH ask 😂

Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ it's convenience more than anything. I don't really use the microwave for anything else because I don't like it lol 😆 🫣

I don't have a microwave, but I can't imagine ever re-heating a drink. You can just gulp it down, or make a new one
