Disgusting suggestion from DH - does anyone else actually do this?

He suggested I microwave a cup of tea out of a luke warm pot. Does anyone do this? I do not and never will.

Not ideal, but I definitely wouldn’t consider it to be disgusting. What is disgusting about it?

That's pretty much all my microwave gets used for 😂

Instant coffee is actually better microwaved from cold. You get the crema foam too.
You can't reheat it though as it loses taste.

Tea is soapy swill and I can't imagine anything would make it worse.

I have never been able to do that, no. I want fresh not warm old.

Same also do it at home.

My husband will only drink loose leaf Assam. Microwaves cold cups all the time 🤷‍♀️

TBH @Libre2 I was expecting either some weird bathroom habit of your husband's, or a nasty sexual suggestion involving rimming etc.

I am truly astonished at the number of monsters who actually reheat tea.

My faith in British society is shaken.

not because it’s discusring but because I know someone who did and an air pocket formed and then they went to stir it it exploded and burned them 😱

I'm very fussy about the tea I drink and out of what type of cup.
DH and DS put two tea bags in a stainless steel teapot, and leave it on the counter for hours, not taking the bags out just taking a cup whenever they feel like it.and of course they microwave it.

Only if the milk hasn’t yet been added. Weirdly it doesn’t taste right. Coffee is fine though.

😂 Also love the ‘he slipped me a reheated tea’. Great thread @Libre2 I like to make myself a fresh hot cup of tea and then I top it up with cold water from the tap.

Fairly regular occurrence here but more normally for coffee from cafetière.

Tea - double yuck, a good cup of tea is reviving, for me the result was disgusting.
Hot Chocolate is fine warmed up.
Coffee again, can also drink this no problem.

Yes I have done this I love a strong brewed tea. It still tastes better than those that boil the kettle again when it's already boiled. 😂😂😂

Oh and it depends how cold it has gone in the pot. If it's stone cold or nearly cold then definitely not. If it's luke warm then yes.
