What age did you all get engaged, married, have kids and buy your first house etc?!

Just wondering really, what age you did all these things?

Also is there expectations in life to do these things?

Married and bought house 17. First child 18. Married 60 years

Engaged at 27, married at 28, bought first flat at 28, first child at 34 (tried earlier, but we needed fertility treatment)

Never, never, never, 33. Happy with my decisions!

Bought my house age 41. Haven't done any of the others.

Engaged at 28, first house at 28, married at 29, first child at 31.

First child 26, first house also 26. Happily single, never engaged, never married.

I was 27 when I did all four of those. It was a busy few months!

Bought first house at 30.

Child at 32.

Engaged at 34.

Married at 36.

I think your expectations are based on what you internalise during your formative years. Whether or when you choose to do that is up to you. I was aware I only had so many childbearing years left but if it didn't happen for me, I would have been okay.

Flat 21, engaged 23, married 24, first pregnancy 27 but my first baby was 30.

First house 28, baby 29, engaged and married at 30.

Wasn't bothered about marriage but wasn't keen on the different name thing when I had my first! This was 20 years ago though.

Met at 39, engaged at 40, married two days later 😂 first DD three months later at 41, second DD at 42. Separated at 49. Divorced at 52. Happy ever after ever since.

one friend once said to me that I got pregnant, got married and got to know him … she was right. Don’t do that OP 😂

Met dh when I was 25
Had first child at 31
Married at 31.
Engaged ? I dont know anyone undr 60 that gets engaged tbh. Its seems such a quiantvold fashioned thing.

First house at 23. (By myself, no partner, no help from anyone)

Engaged and married at 18, bought house at 24, first baby at 28. Divorced after 23 years. Now married to DH2 for 19 years. Second marriage at 45.

I didn't, I'm not, 40 & 24.

My husband and his brother bought a flat together when they were 22 & 24. I bought mine 28. We got engaged when I was 29 him 32, married within a year. Sold our flats and bought together three years later. No kids don’t want them. In our late 40’s now, mortgage free and thinking of an early retirement in the next 5 years.

Engaged 27. Married 29. Bought house 34. No kids.

Met at 19, baby at 21, married at 22, baby at 26, baby at 27, seperated at 31.

Owned my own house at 27
Had my little girl at 34

Had my DD at 20, bought my house at 30, engaged at 31, married at 35. I'm 36 🥰 I think there is an expectation but not a requirement, and no right order either!
